    It would be neat if Schwarber really found a home with a leadoff spot. I know meatball lineup order statement and all that but it would be nice to have that eye leading off every game.

    But if this is the case (bolded part), couldn't it also be that Boras is playing him too to create a more robust market for Harper? Seems strange to use the team that everybody thinks is broke. That's just Theo being next level :D

    A guy who has historically been well connected with Boras to boot. My current guess is that they have lined up the salary dump(s) they need to sign Bryce, but they're painful. Could be using Happ to dump Heyward, or using top prospects to dump Chatwood, but whatever it is it's something otherwise not worth doing without Bryce. If they can reel him in, we will see 3-4 moves in a row like when Lester signed. If they whiff on Bryce, we see the more modest Plan B offseason. But if this is the case (bolded part), couldn't it also be that Boras is playing him too to create a more robust market for Harper?

    3rd time this series. There will be some puffed-chest shoving before this series is over. Yawn. Actually I thought the very first one at second base was fine because it looked like he was just holding his hand up to keep from getting a knee to the forehead. But the others yeah they were bad

    Maddon's first two years, I thought he was great. Funny, creative, pushed all the right buttons and the team was loose. After the WS something changed. The Cubs haven't been as fun to watch and Maddon hasn't been the entertaining whack job he was.

    What irks me is if we end up in a tie we have to play that number 163. That penalizes a division champion by making them play an extra game. Doesn’t the team with the better head to head record get the higher seed in other sports?
