  1. Wind howling in from CF at 30 mph according to WGN's weatherman.
  2. Good forecast for Mad Dog, we should be in good shape provided we worked on defending the suicide squeeze in spring training.
  3. I believe there's "Standing Room Only" tickets but no "Standing Room".
  4. There goes the undefeated season.
  5. Jockstrap is due to do something productive.
  6. This is where you walk Griffey and make the Reds pull Coffey... he's their best reliever.

    Bonds

Bonds doesn't have the right to abuse illegal drugs and lie in front of a Grand Jury, either.
  8. It was a tough play, but 90% of outfielders would have made it.
  9. Wow... I could get used to this small ball.
  10. Wow, great start. Biggest thing I saw was pretty much everyone in the lineup took a few pitches there and battled.
  11. ruh roh, somehow I knew this would happen
  12. http://cubs.scout.com/2/514978.html Marshall named the #4 starter.
  13. It'll be very interesting seeing Baker manage this team, for sure. Very glad some people seem to have stepped up big in Spring Training, because we needed it.
  14. Really good news, IMHO, just in the fact that finally we've got some guys fighting for rotation spots. Starter depth isn't going to be a problem for much longer.
  15. So how did all these guys have veins bulging out of their arms during the steroid era and they suddenly get flabby and go out of the game when they start testing? I can understand Sosa gaining weight naturally, but the guy was jacked up. He looked like a pro wrestler on steroids say around 2001 or so. You don't look like that after a full season of baseball naturally... there's just not enough time to eat right and lift for 2 hours a day, beyond traveling, practice, playing a 3 hour game each day, etc etc. Compare how Sosa looked during his "peak" versus how flabby he was with the Orioles.
  16. A very successful first outing, but it needs to be tweaked. I'd like to see it played at a different time of year where it's not competiting against the NCAA tournament for TV coverage, even if it's just moving it a couple weeks.
  17. Ichiro's been money since Oh moved him to 3rd in the order. I think he's a little wasted hitting 1st for the Mariners.
