with all due respect, we need a large infusion of pitching into our system. True, but I feel like having strong pitching in the minors is more of a numbers game. If the Cubs implement the same strategy in the draft that they did this year, enough will stick and become legitimate prospects. Getting hitters like Olt, Rizzo and Baez is much more difficult. but i don't think we have the time to draft and wait, we need to get near-major league-ready pitchers if we're going to be competitive by 2014. Luckily we have free agency and the ability to trade for pitching as well.
