Neifi starts a min. of 50 games at SS. I guarantee it. He'll deserve that time if Cedeno doesn't get his stuff together. I have my doubts about Cedeno too. Hitting well for a few games before pitchers have had a chance to adjust does not mean it will turn into a career. He's not even hitting well in ST (.244/.277/.378 in 45 AB).

It's like Grace was saying today on the FSN Ariz broadcast. The game has changed. Hitters get to go around hopping and staring and flipping bats. The pitcher doesn't get to do anything. It's lame. Guys like Gibson and Sutcliffe would have put one in your earhole for the kind of crap that batters pull now adays. I have no problem with Z hitting Edmonds (twice). I wish he'd do it again. Z does need to tone down his antics after mistakes (either his or his teammates). That's something different than being emotional and pumped up about a game.

At least he's not signed to a long term deal, so if he stinks we can let him go at the end of the season, and there is always Pie. It sucks that we gave up decent talent for a rental, but at least there's Pie. It's not all bad if Pierre tanks.
