  1. the double switch just bit us in the butt.
  2. It's a guy thing, you wouldn't understand. I just got home... how'd Gooz look today? I saw his line, but how was his stuff? Riiiiight. He's about the only one that does it. It's very odd. Uh...doesn't Zambrano grab himself after almost every pitch too? No, not nearly as frequently. I think it's a girl thing to notice that stuff. Not! I'm not the only one that noticed. You're a serial crotch adjuster watcher, just admit it. Just playin. Neifi is the king. That guy can't keep his hands off himself when he's batting. That explains all the DPs.

  5. as much as jones strikes out, he's on pace for an average season K-wise.
  6. What the hell am I talking about? dude, you're just several games ahead of everyone else, that's all. :)
  7. pat and ron? Yeah, Ron went on about the lack of friendly talk to opposing teams during the game. It's a different situation now though. If you act like a snob or a jerk to someone on a different team, you might be on the same team with them in a year or two. Not a good foundation for any relationship. lmao. ron is horrible. he'll go on for 5 minutes about the bathroom break he just took. but, hey, he gets emotional over the Cubs so all is excused. Pat needs a shock collar to get the pbp in.
  8. yeah, by letting the winning run drop in front of him.
  9. How many times do you have to read about the difference between Ramirez and Pierre? Aramis has a history of fantastic production that would leave people to believe he can recover and still have a great season. Pierre does not have that history. He's always been about squirting balls through the infield, which is harder to do in Wrigley's tall grass, and he's coming off a bad year. They are two very different situations. Pierre has been below .350 OBP twice in 6 ML seasons (never in the minors). I think history suggests he'll rebound as well.
  10. Darn cold weather... moran. not nice to call posters names and pointing that out wasn't directed at a certain poster? get real. Big difference between insulting someone and pointing out the member guidelines. He didn't point out the member guidlines in his first reply to me. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before commenting - just a suggestion. REally? My first reply to you was after you called me a "moran" whatever. you make a smartass remark about the cold weather in reference to another thread. real cute. just b/c my name isn't mentioned doesn't mean it's not a personal attack.

  12. you realize the difference between his OBP and a respectable OBP of .350 is about 1 hit every 4 games and 2 walks over the season so far, right? Yeah, I think you said that in the Pierre thread in Baseball Discussions. Doesn't make it any better. Less than .300 OBP is not good. Nope, it still sucks, but what you notice isn't the best indicator of performance. And what so far has indicated that Pierre has been good so far this season? What is a good indicator of performance? I'm pretty sure most will say OBP is a good indicator of performance, especially for a leadoff man. He has less than 100 AB. he's 7/8 stealing with no errors in the field. Ease up. some players just don't start out hot. let's string aramis up while we're at it.
  13. you realize the difference between his OBP and a respectable OBP of .350 is about 1 hit every 4 games and 2 walks over the season so far, right? You do realize that same excuse can be used for just about every player with crappy stats? It doesn't mean a thing. And? I wasn't excusing his stats, just pointing out that "for what seems like the first time in a year" is a ridiculous statement.
