He has hit the ball out of the infield...at least twice last game (flyball outs). Pierre's game is dependent on finding holes in the infield defense, not crushing the ball out of the park.

Dude, that was grooved down the middle, Walker isn't going to get much better of a pitch to hit and Hanley robbed Cedeno up the middle. They weren't bad swings, just because they were early. i never said they were bad swings. i'd rather not have willis on pace to pitch 8+ innings.

this is a good game to pitch in. it's pretty hard to hit it out to left and center b/c of the wind. if you get in a jam, just serve it up down the middle.

Different paychecks call for different expectations. Neifi is a bench player. Jones is our everyday RF who just signed a 15M/3 FA contract. Neifi has a spot b/c of his D. Everyone knows not to expect much offensively. Jones has his spot b/c of his D and offense. His O has sucked horribly.

After the Hawkins debacle, Jones signed here. Don't complain about it now. You knew we could be rough if you play like garbage. Dude pimps his HRs more than Aramis. It's annoying, but I could live with it. He's actually on pace for about 110 Ks this season, which is better than he usually is. Get used to his suckiness. :(

I just don't get it. The Cubs were frustrated by Corey's inability to be a more selective hitter, so naturally they go out and get a more EXPENSIVE, OLDER version of Corey. I just don't get it. I would prefer Burnitz to Jones. Jim Hendry = No Offseason Plan. Again. Funny. It seems like he at least put together one of the best bullpens in baseball, if nothing else. and a good bullpen is what % of a complete team? It's given us more than a couple wins this season. Look at the Marlins tonight. Offense, starting pitching, and defense are good to great. One arm loses the game for them. He walked them into a loss.
