  1. Jeebus, today's CL games have been garbage. Dortmund is getting pantsed at home and Aguero just missed a PK that would have made that tie at least interesting late.
  2. I should have bet so much money on Arsenal winning 2-0, because it was the most predictable outcome ever. They probably shouldn't give up a stupid goal in the last minute of stoppage time at home next year.
  3. Brad Evans was responsible for all 3 of SJ's goals last night. That performance should be exhibit A in "Why Jermaine Jones shouldn't be playing Centerback". You can't just assume someone can step into that role.
  4. That's a pretty tough group.
  5. FS1 didn't do half as badly as I thought they would yesterday. Clint and Oba are ridiculous. I've never seen a team get 3 players carded for diving in the same game before.
  6. Since I assume you either watched the game or saw the highlights, would you have called offsides on the second West Ham goal? The guy going for the header is a yard offsides, goes for the ball but doesn't touch it, though he didn't miss it by much. I would have, yeah. He was active in the play. That's supposed to be offsides. Lots of bad/blown calls this weekend in the EPL.
  7. You can always win the Europa League for a Champions League spot. Spurs ain't winning the Europa League, though.
  8. Nice dive, Harry Kane. That was a sooooooft penalty. Terrible call. He was looking for contact and went down immediately.
  9. Maybe instead of perpetually recruiting DFB rejects, he could focus on calling some of the guys in MLS that play that position and are probably better. Also, did you see the thing about Green refusing to play for their U-23's? Word is he might get returned back to Bayern; they are pretty sick of the kid.
  10. Yeah, if they dump Cutty for McCown I'm checking out for a while on football.
  11. Good job, yurgin. The worst.
  12. It's hard to get excited about beating Panama B, but it's come to that. Bradley's olympico was a lol moment. Pineda is a calamity on crosses into the six. Ibarra looks like a hobo version of Bedoya; all effort, no skill. I liked Zardes, though. Even if he's just a GAM replacement in CONCACAF, that would be great, since he's a better soccer player than GAM. Dat stepover from Clint, though, on the goal...
  13. Its obnoxious he continues to pout that "things aren't like Gerrrrrrrrmanny here". No [expletive], Sherlock. You knew exactly the variables involved in being the NT manager, and you still gripe like you had no idea it would be like it is. He never accepts any accountability or responsibility for anything that happens. It's one of the very worst traits in a boss.
  14. I hate that guy so damn much. It puts me in a position to almost hope we get bounced in the Gold Cup in embarrassing fashion so that it puts the possibility of us getting rid of him on the table.
  15. Even if you want to throw there, don't throw a fricking slant into the heart of the defense. Throw some sort of crappy fade or something. But throwing was dumb. Just run it on 2nd down.
  16. http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--h3WL6cd9--/wi8src56el4lhgdd3jty.gif Tonight's real champion.
  17. Bevell should be fired in the locker room after that call. That might be the single worst play call I've ever seen in a football game. Inexplicably stupid.
  18. 7 game losing streak. When can we have a new coach?
  19. Mullins, yeah. Forgot about NYCFC picking him up. Davies and Agudelo play very different roles, though. Davies plays much more of a traditional #9, where Agudelo is more of the "drift wide, make runs" kind of attacker; he sucks back-to-goal. I see him competing directly with Fagundez, Rowe and Bunbury for time as those outside attackers in Heaps' system. Carter-Vickers is going to be a player. Not impressed with Hyndman, really. I just don't see it.
  20. How's that going to work? Rowe, Davies, Fagundez and Bunbury are already there along with that other guy whose name I can't remember but he was a rookie. Not saying his agent isn't an idiot, but going back to NER doesn't immediately get him on the field, unless they play on trading someone.
  21. I always roll my eyes at MLS stating their ambition to be an elite league by 2022, but when the level of players acquired in the offseason seems to improve drastically every year, it's harder to do that. It'll take longer than 7 years, but the arrow continues to point up. The tweets sent out about Giovenco's contract by Shipp and Andrew Wenger give me pause about the CBA, but hopefully that's just typical union posturing. Both sides would be immensely dumb to even approach a work stoppage. But that said, TFC still haven't solved their main issue from 2014, which was the lack of a dedicated DM and a terrible backline.
  22. TFC signed Sebastian Giovenco. Wow.
  23. It's a 1 possession game against an offense that's known for scoring insanely quickly. Oregon's defense hasn't really slowed OSU down.
  24. That's probably the game, unless OSU wants to do something dumb with the ball again.
  25. Oregon's defense is really overmatched.
