I've heard that, but I don't know what good it could do. I really think the best thing for Corey would be to pull a Ricky Williams and get as far away from baseball as possible for a couple months. I think that, as Cubs fans, we'd all like to see the guy succeed, ideally, despite how frustrating it is hearing about his talent for so long and not seeing results on the field. I also think everyone agrees that Corey has been dreadful this season, wasn't great last season, and can't be counted on as a contributor in the future until proven otherwise. Somewhere in him is a good baseball player. Maybe it happens, maybe it doesn't, but I want him to succeed with us.
