    Im going to use a word I truly hate and try never to use, but Jurgen's behavior in the last 2 weeks has been nothing short of pathetic. Someone from ASN wrote that stupid, fawning article here http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/a-tale-of-two-klinsmanns-technical-director-and-coach And this clown ass retweets it with this: I think it's pathetic for a professional manager to retweet a positive article about himself. Its an embarrassment to the program to go along with the failures at the U17, U20, U23 and senior levels under his watch as manager and "Technical Director". At this point, though, I blame Sunil a lot more than Jurgen. Sunil can end this any time he wants but apparently he's going to hold onto his crush until the bitter end. Jurgen's clearly a guy who, at best, has ideas and concepts that he has no idea how to implement. Oh also LOLChelsea.

    Assuming if JK goes Sunil goes (which should happen since Sunil bet the house on his monorail salesman), I'd hire Arena.

    Beating the Cards was pretty cool Just have to believe that these things are crap shoots and we just need to make the playoffs every damn year to breakthrough Yeah that was cool, but I don't get the logic of being satisfied showing our asses in the LCS just because they had a nice regular season. Nobody's going to feel satisfied with the memory of beating Cincinatti in June. The [expletive] Pirates game and Cards series. Why are you talking about the Reds and June?? Because I'm addressing the idea that the unexpected regular season success is somehow a panacea for this suck fest. Nice to see Baez busting his ass down the line. At least someone is still trying

Nobody's going to feel satisfied with the memory of beating Cincinatti in June. I dunno, it just happens. Even if Lester and Arrieta had really shut the Mets down, you've still got a very young team that strikes out a lot and was basically being carried by the dong. They had stretches where they went very, very cold this season, and unfortunately another one popped up at a critical time against a team with a great starting rotation. Chalk it up to a learning experience, I guess. At least they're in a good position to succeed again next year (yeah, yeah, I know; and the Nationals were supposed to win the WS this year...) Hopefully this is just growing pains.

    Who gives a [expletive] about the regular season? This team along with the 2008 team tore the regular season to [expletive] and both ended with the team forgetting how to hit and pitch. There's zero satisfaction in going out like this regardless of how regular season wins they had

    My guess is that so long as Sunil is Fed President neither he or Arena would ever come back to the NT. Both guys reaaaaaallly hate Gulati. A lot.

    Sure. He's a very good coach. He wouldn't be my top choice necessarily, but it's always kind of been understood that he'll be the USMNT coach at some point. He's as good as any MLS manager who would be up for it outside of Arena who probably doesn't want to work for Sunil Gulati again. Thanks (and thanks to USSoccer too - love your point - if you're not Jurgen, you've already got an advantage) I thought Kreis was very well-regarded. Who would be your top choice that's realistic? Arena, Bradley, Sigi, Kreis or Jesse Marsch. Any of those 5.

    So...what is Jurgen doing then? Just losing games? Not re-working our youth dev model? Cool. Cool cool cool. Fired. That article also has a tidbit about Kreis and NYCFC parting ways and Patrick Viera coming in to coach. Good to see that club is as expensive a disaster as I'd figure it would be. Some MLS club will be very lucky to get Kreis who is an unfortunate victim of outside ownership not understanding MLS even a little bit but still dictating terms. This is Red Bulls firing Bruce Arena after one season all over again. Thoughts on Jurgen being replaced by Kreis potentially? Yes. Without reservations. Because it gets rid of Jurgen and Jurgen is unequivocally the worst US coach in my lifetime.

    If Montero isn't going to hit and isn't able to block pitches in the dirt he shouldn't be in.

    His role should be limited to "get Bryant his glove before he goes back on to the field, resume sitting down on bench" Bryant's been poor but La Stella just brings nothing to the table. Bryant could break out of his slump at any point.
