  1. Except I sort of feel like the CL Finals could be boring as hell with Athletico in it. Hopefully it won't be. Better than listening to everyone trip over themselves to anoint him the greatest manager in the history of ever when he's never won anything difficult without his Barca core making his philosophy actually work.
  2. Oh god its great when Pep Guardiola fails.
  3. I can see them finishing top-6, sure. CL play is 6 games, minimum. That's not a giant ask. They might punt on the CapOne Cup or FA Cup, but I don't see I giant strain on them in terms of scheduling. It'll come down to whether or not they can hold on to Vardy, Mahrez and especially Kante in the summer. They still have Gokhan Inler who never plays but is good depth, Matty James didn't play a minute this year and he was a starter last year and Demarai Gray is going to be really good...they'll need to smartly add depth. I don't think they'll repeat as champions or anything, and if one of their big 3 leave then all bets are off, but I don't think they'll be in a relegation scrap or anything. I guess it depends on whether or not United, Chelsea and Liverpool make the right moves to improve this summer.
  4. It was pure frustration. It's a long season and they could see their title hopes fading against a major rival. Sure, I get that, but it that's Diego Costa stamping on Cesc like Lamela did or assaulting Ivanovic like Dier did people would be braying for significant bans. Clattenburg let it get way, way out of hand, especially in stoppage time. Both guys should have been tossed.
  5. Dier, Lamele and Dembele were lucky to be on the field. 9 yellows to Spurs.
  6. Hahahaha horsefeathers right off, Tottenham. Reduced to acting like horsefeathering hacks.
  7. How did Lamela not get a yellow?
  8. Someone woke up the housecat that is Eden Hazard for this one, I see.
  9. Dembele can join Alli in sitting out the rest of the season after today, though, so there's at least that.
  10. Worthless-assed Chelsea.
  11. Spurs have to win out now. A draw would leave them 7 back with 2 remaining.
  12. It baffles me that guys like Rooney can spend 3 straight minutes swearing at the ref but a guy gets kicked out and spends about 5 seconds swearing commentators are like 'abusing the ref! Additional suspension!' Also, I hope Fellaini enjoyed his last game of the year because he's getting a 3 match ban for those elbows to the head of Huth.
  13. Yeah, I don't think Leicester are going to do it today.
  14. Alexis Sanchez kind of sucks Arsenal could solve half of their problems by just shooting the ball once in a while instead of trying to square pass and dribble into the net
  15. They know they have an offense that also could use help right?
  16. I read the except of Connor Cook's scouting report and now I want the Bears to draft him in the 2nd round so that he and Jay form some sort of glorious Voltron of passive aggressive indifference.
  17. Stupid Dallas
  18. If the FA handed everyone who told the ref to F off during a game a match ban teams would have to field academy players in every game. I think LCFC lose and Spurs draw this weekend.
  19. I'm not as up on hockey rules as others but I'm pretty sure you can't bear hug a guy from behind while he's skating
  20. I hope Spurs are prepared to play their final 3 games with Dele Ali, because he's going to get at least 3 games for punching Yacob off-the-ball. ETA: Come onnnnn, stupid West Brom.
  21. Fully expect Spurs to roll over another team that might as well be playing in Bermuda shorts holding carry on bags.
  22. Gyasi is like the perfectly developed "American" player. Athletic, questionable first touch, capable of looking terrible or brilliant, often in the same match. Later on in this game he had one of those biffed first touch-assists.
