  1. I kind of think the opposite; if the FA wanted to show mercy they wouldn't have charged him. This is anecdotal but I don't feel like appeals to FA charges succeed very often. I think it's almost certain he'll miss Man U away, which on one hand, he gets a couple games rest. On the other, I cannot see them getting a result away at Old Trafford without him no matter how garbage United are. If you're the sort that believes in conspiracies the FA would rather Spurs win than Leicester, as it less upsets the current order of things. If I had to bet, LCFC beats Swansea, loses to Man U, draws with Everton and beats Chelsea to finish with 80 Spurs win out and win the title on goal difference.
  2. FWIW, I hate the Apetura/Clausura format so, so much.
  3. There are 4 game left for each team: Leicester have Swansea, Man U (a), Everton and Chelsea (a). Their max points is 85. Spurs have West Brom, Chelsea (a), Southampton and Newcastle (a). Their max points is 80. Spurs have the easier run in, assuming Newcastle are relegated before that final game. Only Southampton have anything to play for, and then only barely. West Brom suck and Chelsea quit playing back in September. LCFC get a crap Swansea, a Man U that even though they're bad, win games they have no business winning, a generally garbage Everton that will either be on the beach or getting ready for the FA Cup final, and the aforementioned Chelsea. LCFC need 8 points from their last 4 games assuming Spurs win out. I can't really see Spurs losing to any of those teams in their current form. Maybe they drop points at Chelsea but I doubt it. I can see LCFC struggling at United, especially without Vardy. If Spurs do lose any of those games, LCFC probably win. I see LCFC getting 6 points from their 12.
  4. When idiot Europhiles complain about MLS playoffs and there's no regular season pressure because everyone makes it and there's no relegation pressure or some such nonsense...i'm going to point to games like this where the team stranded in mid-table wanders around the field like they're halfway to Ibiza as my rebuttal. It's kind of six of one, half dozen of the other, right? Instead of mid table teams teams not caring (EPL), it's the bottom clubs who wander around not caring (American sports). No matter what format you have, you're always going to have a handful of clubs with nothing to play for the last few weeks. In this case vs. MLS, its 4 teams at the bottom who care, 2 at the top, 3 just below them and then 11 teams that are already at the beach. Over half the stupid league.

  6. Way to show up, Stoke City.
  7. So Vardy's probably going to get an extra game tacked on to his suspension for cussing out the ref after being sent off. Remember in 2014 when Jordan Henderson got a dumbass red against Manchester City and had to sit out 3 games in Liverpool's run in? Yeah... Sorry @Soccer10k, but go Stoke tonight.
  8. Just watched the highlights: http://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2016-04-17-orlando-city-sc-vs-new-england-revolution/recap 3 of the 4 goals in that match should not have happened/counted with competent officiating. MLS officiating has been downright bad so far. I don't know what instructions PRO is giving but they need to make a change. The Orlando game was really bad, but almost every game so far has seen multiple bad decisions. And it's not Geiger reffing every game so I don't know what the deal is. None of our decent and above young players should be in England. Worst place for developing American talent to be.
  9. Vardy's first yellow was never a yellow. His second; yeah, he flopped like an Italian and didn't need to do it because he got to the ball, but there was contact. But okay, fine. Reid body blocked Schlupp and stopped an attack; it was a professional foul but should have been a yellow as there was zero intent to play the ball. The PK for WHU was a garbage call. You see contact and pulling on corners every time and that wasn't even much contact and Reid flew down like he was shot. Huth got dragged down by the neck on the other end. Terrible no call especially given the PK you gave WHU. Either they're both PKs or neither one is. And the PK in stoppage was more of a dive than Vardy's yellow. There was contact, sort of, but it was shoulder to shoulder and Schlupp just flipped. What I'm saying is that the ref had a terrible, terrible game.
  10. And that was kind of a dive. What a mess.
  11. Jesus Christ the league is rigged. That's a nailed on penalty. About 100x what he gave on the other end.
  12. Spurs run in is a lot easier.
  13. That's a horsefeathering joke of a call
  14. West Ham have been lucky to not have had Reid sent off for his second yellow as well
  15. So you can challenge a reviewed goal, huh. Seems redundant.
  16. Holy crap
  17. Liverpool/BvB is an amazing game
  18. Hahaha F off Barcelona
  19. Are they just letting Barca play until they score?
  20. Ref really doesn't want to give out a red today, apparently. Barca should have 9 on the field. Maybe 8 if Neymar gets red for, you know, kicking Godin into the ad board And now crowding the ref. This team are a horsefeathering disgrace. Why do people ride their nuts?
  21. You've got to be kidding me. He reached out and slapped it. How is that not red?
  22. And now Neymar somehow doesn't get kicked out. UEFA really protect Barca at all costs
  23. Luis Suarez is so great and such a dirty player. Should have been sent off again tonight and again, inexplicably, the ref behind the goal chooses to miss violent conduct
  24. Oh good god please. Although this is how that clown got the extension from Gulati; leveraging a rumor of Spurs interest.
  25. Goals #1 and #3 sure seem like evidence that someone got bribed because that kind of defending just doesn't seem possible for a team in a CL quarterfinal.
