  1. I love the complete contempt he hit that with
  2. Javy should have destroyed that first pitch that just spun and hung as opposed to taking that, and then swinging at the ball 4 feet off the plate
  3. Addison screwed up there but he was still out
  4. Putting aside the deplorable person Chapman seems to be, who the hell cares about giving up some A-ball prospect and 3 nothings for the best reliever in the game?
  5. Really wish JD would have had him evaluate Dempster's postseason performances including the 687 walks and 9000ft grand slam he gave up in 2008
  6. Trading Javy Baez would be a really dumb decision. Excellent defensive,cost-controlled versatile players with that much upside and power don't grow on trees.
  7. That's the downside of a guy who makes ridiculous defensive plays; he should have taken the out, but I feel that's more on Bryant for not covering 3rd with any urgency.
  8. Why is Bryant not moving to cover the bag at contact?
  9. Its sure going to suck when he leaves the Cubs in 5 years for the Yankees and a $500m contract because we kept him in Iowa for 3 weeks.
  10. They may not get to Russia if they don't get it figured out quickly. I imagine Messi is pretty exhausted at this point and I can understand him not wanting to put up with all the [expletive]. It was noticeable the only person comfortable to talk to him on the bench after the game were his Barcelona teammates. That Rojo red card was complete nonsense and a perfect example of a makeup call. You can bet Vidal played for it. Totally changed the game. That aside, watching Argentina's players stand and watch Messi was pathetic. The second yellow on the Chilean was equally garbage so it evens out. Messi just ran into him. It wasn't even a foul let alone a yellow.
  11. The US team all pay their taxes though so we've got that going for us
  12. Look at that. No possession or speed up front. It's almost like it was completely predictable
  13. He's in timeout for daring to decline Werder Bremen
  14. Its also worth noting that this lineup is basically relying on Michael Bradley to create, when he hasn't had a standout performance in at least 3 years.
  15. Remember when the manager everyone said was too conservative rolled out Benny and Charlie Davies and we broke Peak Spain with speed and quick passing? Bob Bradley would play Pulisic. Probably Nagbe too considering he's a rich man's Feilhaber. I would have just kept Besler at LB, Yedlin at RB, moved FJ into the midfield and started Nagbe. Nagbe can hold possession and release pressure. Beckerman at best deflects pressure, but provides no link up and is incapable of holding possession and is slower than I am laterally. We've chosen to bunker and see if Clint or Wondo can steal a goal as opposed to even attempting to do the things that actually work for us (pace to stretch the field, creating pockets of space for Clint).
  16. What a completely gutless lineup. Beckerman is going to be a traffic cone and Wondo sucks.
  17. He's got to be good at something, right?
  18. Reading the transcripts make it seem like Gulati and David Gill are the only ones not acting like sorority sisters plotting to get rid of the fat girl.
  19. Gundogan is the German Jack Wilshire. He's hurt all the damn time. For the 20 games he'll play every year he's great.
  20. Looking at England's 23 for the Euro's reminds me that we don't have the monopoly on dumb roster construction. Taking Sturridge AND Rashford and a perma-broken Jack Wilshire over Drinkwater and Townsend is just dumb. Now they have 5 forwards and 1 DM (Dier) on that roster. What Liverpool and England see in Jordan Henderson is beyond me and Ross Barkley hasn't done anything in at least 2 years to warrant selection. Raheem Sterling also doesn't deserve to go on form.
  21. I just don't get his love affair with Guasi Zardes at all. Matt Besler isn't a left back but whatever JK.
