  1. Ridiculous finish. You can't ask for a better final day than that. Aguero is the balls-he's the only City player that isn't a d-bag; (although Balotelli is awesome) you can't win a title any better than that. Joey Barton is fricking lucky that Stoke held up today.
  2. I think it was very appropriate for them to lose while making 4 completely idiotic plays in a row.
  3. We all knew it would end this way
  4. That will feel like home to Real (except for the humidity) I wasn't aware that Castillian Spain was a barren, scorching desert wasteland full of hookers, casinos and booze.
  5. On the plus side, Vegas has an ample supply of hookers for those guys to impregnate. Maybe SUM is just thinking about the long term quality of the player pool
  6. Be real...the UC is a perpetual morgue. Chicago crowds in general are terrible for big games. Only the bulls. There were plenty of dead Hawks crowds the past few years including the Cup run....the 2008 NLDS crowds were complete embarrassments. You'd have to go back to 2003 to really hear an electric Cubs crowd (the crowd during the night game part of the doubleheader against St.Louis stands out for some reason in my mind). I assume Sox crowds are terrible because I don't know any better and their fanbase is crap. The past few good crowds for big games I can think of would have been the NFC title game against Green Bay (constant noise despite Culter going down and Collins being a joke) and a conference semifinal game the Fire had a couple years ago (complete chaos, smokebombs, flares and players going into the crowd). Chicago crowds in big games kinda suck because the crowds tighten up at the first sign of adversity (Cubs), are mostly corporate (Bulls) or have the hardcore fans dispersed amongst the corporate (Hawks), or have a nebulous and inconsistent fanbase (Fire). The UC crowd will tighten up the first time Philly makes a run.

  8. Really? Usually an ACL is 3 months of recovery and 3 months of healing, depending on the severity of the tear and any other structural damage.
  9. Hey look, our crowd sucks
  10. [expletive] Ronaldo. God I love that guy.
  11. Those home kits are so, so, bad.
  12. Yeah, that was a big play, too, since it would have been Cech coming off, so not only do you get the man advantage for 35+, you also get to face a cold, inferior keeper.
  13. That one was baffling. He's played Cudicini in all the FA Cup games, which I get in the early rounds because he rested a bunch of starters also. But Tottenham hasn't played since Monday and they don't play again until Saturday. There's no reason for Friedel to be on the bench. Since you've said it a couple times, what do you think Redknapp has done wrong (besides the GKer)? In general, he rides his first XI too hard and doesn't rotate the squad very effectively, which is a gigantic reason they've faded over the past six weeks. Krancjar plays less often than he should; Dos Santos never plays, while Modric exhausts himself and Lennon plays well here and there. Defoe isn't really that good, but he refused to play Pavlyuchenko and ran him out of London. They've still yet to bring in adequate cover for Ledley King. When you look up and down that roster and start to realize who they've loaned out as well, and it adds up to a killer XI until fixture congestion wears them down. Today, you can't say much except that he should have left Van de Vaart in. The midfield collapsed after he left.
  14. Cudicini over Freidel. Harry Redknapp doesn't know how to use his roster.
  15. Holy crap, Lampard. What a strike.
  16. Harry Redknapp doesn't know how to use his squad outside of the first XI
  17. Yeah, the SPL is a glorified Sunday league full of hacks and has beens. And I'm including the Americans that play there, fwiw. La Liga is far more competitive. Look at the UEFA competitions.
  18. JT in a landslide. He's an awful person.
  19. Man, it's going to be so great when the Cubs have a bunch of guys that can talk [expletive] and back it up. Hope Baez is the first of many more.
  20. Yep. He's got two young kids; he's not going to uproot them to go to PSG or some crap, either, and for damn sure he's not going to go to Liverpool or Newcastle.
  21. Everton owe so much money to the bank...if they couldn't afford LD's MLS buyout, they aren't even in the ballpark on Clint's fee this summer.
  22. I maintain my stance that this is the only CL team he'd move to.
  23. Madrid are going to choke away La Liga.
  24. They should never have let Rafa go, honestly.
  25. Goals #20 and #21 today. 5th leading scorer in the Premiership. Jesus. Wish the World Cup was this summer.
