not only that, but the guy that gets mauled gets called for a penalty. someone is [expletive] bought and sold. How do the rules not say that play in progress continues there? It's completely away from the play, regardless of what is called?? Hockey doesn't have a rule where you can play the advantage, probably it does though Then that's even worse. If you can play advantage on "coincidental" penalties and he didn't call it, that's nuts.

To have a referee disallow a late, game-winning goal on a play that happened 40 feet away from the puck/ball, and to then call a penalty on a guy who did nothing but get thrown over the boards is insane.

At least he got them into the zone and helped hold possession, unlike everyone on the 1st unit who just aimlessly dumped the puck in just to immediately lose it.
