But there is absolutely nothing wrong with poking fun at Cubs players and their hitting ability and the concept of pink bats. Pink is a soft color, many Cubs hitters are soft hitters. Pink is associated with women and women don't generally hit major league pitching very well. It's a lighthearted funny situation. Nobody is picking on breast cancer sufferers, survivors or their families. I don't think we should make a habit of going around telling people what they can and cannot find humorous. Breast cancer is a terrible thing, but I've heard many cancer survivors talk about the power of laughter, and many of them even joke about their own disease. As long as people aren't going around making fun of people for having cancer, than they aren't doing anything wrong. Good point: I was wrong and I suck. (Not as bad as the Cubs though.)
