    I only caught the end, but he basically said he's not at all worried about Prior and thinks he'll be fine by the end of the month. Rome brought up Hendry doing the Lilly deal from the hospital and gushed after the interview about how hard of a worker Hendry is.

    Yeah me too. But worry not, the weekend is coming, and as the season draws near, more games will be on TV. Not good enough. Basketball has soured on me over the past 5-10 years so I need a sports fix now.

    Barrett needs to be a DH, and we need to trade Zambrano because he's going to cost way too much and get hurt. How's that SSR?

    I would rather have my best offensive player in a pressure situation, and that's still ARod. I doubt that the 3-spot would statistically be in that position any more than any other position in the lineup.

    You do have to take some of Len's opinions with a grain of salt, but he most certainly does have more information than we do. He's clearly speculating, but I value his opinions over yours (or any other regular poster) due to proximity and experience.

    I think Gordon's already proven he's ready for a chance, even if he only has 1 year of pro experience (325/427/588/1015 in 130 games). If he stays healthy, he's going to be a very special player.

    He should let Zambrano give him a few knees to the cup. He's already proven his knees are much tougher than bats.

    I don't think Guzman would get a spot over Marquis regardless of how the two were pitching in ST-certainly not when Marquis is also looking very good so far in ST. Exactly. I'm sure Marquis has already done enough between his contract and first two ST appearances to ensure he's in the rotation. It's quite a funny situation considering his career leading up until now should be enough to ensure he's not in a starting rotation.

    I'm glad to see this progress in Pie's game. Me too and he is only 21, correct? He turned 22 in February.

    There's a point where when you are experiencing pain in a particular motion that you are afraid of repeating that pain in the future, even if sufficient healing has taken place. There very well could be some mental healing that needs to take place with him as he could have potentially altered his delivery to alleviate discomfort he was having before.

    I agree and that seems to be the stumbling block. Of course a trade for a good SS involving Jones and Izturis would be perfect. Who's even out there that would be an upgrade at SS other than ARod? Tejada Oh yeah, I forgot about him. I wouldn't give up the farm for him like I would have last year though. I'd love to find out how steep the asking price is. I'd do it for Guzman and Gallagher (and I'm one of Gooz's biggest fans), assuming Izturis is also involved.

    I could see Cotts-Guzman and Mateo being ready but not Miller or Marshall as they seem to be in the same boat as Prior. Who's the Don? Veal

    Miller - Cotts - Guzman - Marshall - Mateo I'd love to see The Don pitch well enough to earn a spot on the 40 man and a September call-up. Pipe dream, most likely.

    I still think Jones is on the block, but I doubt he'll be dealt this spring. I'd love to see Felix make the roster, but an offensive upgrade would be necessary at SS.
