  1. Not taking sides, but you really haven't provided any evidence to support your claim that the slightly higher ratings will actually equal higher profits for WGN. It was a more than slightly. In advertsing, rating are key. Both Nielsen and Arbitron show the Sox won the ratings battle in the most desired age demographic. Again, no evidence there are differences in rates, just an assumption.

  3. Any word form Rosenthall? http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/6632584
  4. Hmm, the I-Cubs roster also lists Chris Walker.
  5. Is that 102 hits in 185 ABs with 204 walks? Nope...thats BA/OBP/SLG I really need to find my cleats -- I think even I could do better than that.

  7. I thought Chris Walker was headed to Iowa?
  8. Maten los birdos !! I don't speak freaky-deaky Dutch.
  9. I predict the Cubs will suck less than they did last year but suck just enough to keep us all pissed off all season.
  10. He's had 3 official errors so far this spring, and has had several misplays besides that. I do think he will get better as the season goes along though. Obviously, Soriano won't be a Gold Glove CF, but misplays in the Arizona sun are pretty common for the best OFs. I would think the Cubs would try Pie in RF so Soriano doesn't have to learn a new position. The Arizona sky is quite famous for making baseballs "disappear" in the air. I'm cutting him a lot of slack for learning another new position this Spring.
  11. And with the quick turnaround, the Falcons select Jamaal Anderson. 1. It's been a while since we had a guy by that name 2. The defense is a wreck, and Kerney's departure didn't help 3. Somebody already took Landry. Edit: PM'd Warpticon for the Dolphins pick.
  12. That would be a great deal for the Bears.
  13. No, and he never will be. I don't do the fantasy thing.
  14. Does anyone else remember that Prior had/has legitimate injuries? From my tally, he has 1 current problem that is not accident related (loose shoulder, etc) that -- and I'm speaking from experience here -- causes an extreme amount of pain and has an extremely long recovery process when any sort of tweaking, tearing or anything else occurs. Part of the problem with such injuries is that slight adjustments are made to mask the pain. When the proper rehabilitation takes place, there is a lot of both physical and mental work to be done. The physical is building back the strength (and it is grueling), and the mental is trying to forget all of the intense pain and trick your body into going back to the old way of throwing because it's not going to hurt anymore. That doesn't make him soft, it makes him human.
  15. I've got Izturis and Marquis. Game over.
  16. I'd rather see them pull a Cubs in 2006.
  17. Because Hafner's quite a bit better than Ortiz.
  18. If we're using magic, shouldn't we make Prior better and trade Novoa for ARod?
  19. IMB! and the AZ Cardinals select Joey Fatone, the real glue behind 'N Sync. Holy crap, I left for 2 hours and expected to be halfway through the 2nd by now.
  20. I doubt they'd free up a spot on the 40 just for Hill.
  21. Don't worry...everyone already knows you're taking Landry. Maybe, maybe not.
