  1. wow, crazy finish to an otherwise craptacular game
  2. hey, no INTs that drive... I have no clue why anyone is watching this game besides dew and me. It's pretty ugly. it's keeping me from finishing a presentation I have to put together for work therefore it's my friend
  3. hey, no INTs that drive...
  4. I'll never get sick of that video
  5. that's gotta hurt, huh?
  6. you realize he's since moved on, right?
  7. Same here; I have both caps but prefer the road cap (and as a result, Laurens usually wears the home cap) it's the only way we can tell you apart
  8. they should trade him for Hanley Ramirez
  9. I just took an informal poll, and 100% of respondents said "North Dakota". margin of error = 0
  10. GREAT effing sig I don't get it. I do, and that's all that really matters.
  11. ahh, kinda like "Go, Cubs, Go"? no, no, no... ](*,) that's just for winning games and it's not the same type of drunk scream... it's a normal scream, not a crazy loud painful scream that's 1000x more fun while intoxicated you should throw a party and play whatever the hell you want. I'm not singing Bon Jovi without serious cash considerations
  12. ahh, kinda like "Go, Cubs, Go"?
  13. this has to be a ratings thing. I'll bet CSN and WGN both told teh Cobs to not score early so people would stop changing the channel
  14. Fixed. I'm not ready to write off the Rockies just quite yet. DIRK HAYHURST The 8/16 entry is the best. wow!
  15. Wait, do you mean to say that people drink Pabst even though they have a choice of something else? I've chosen PBR a couple of nights
  16. how are the local jails?
  17. good chance for the Pirates to take the series lead
  18. Is that what he said? I could be wrong, but I got the impression that he was saying that it was during game 5, when they saw the way Wood was pitching, that Chipper said that. yeah, he said it was right toward the end of the season when they found out the Cubs clinched over Houston. they weren't afraid of Houston's pitching staff, but they knew that any one of the Cubs 3 could easily shut their offense down when all they had to counter with was a group that pitched to contact.
  19. You are wrong. No, I'm right. Assume that leaguewide median expected performance is a .750 OPS. Assume that there are 20 hitters and pitchers that are anti-clutch performers who are worse in high-leverage spots -- the 10 pitchers in this group collectively have a .900 OPS against in high-leverage spots (but would otherwise expect to be at .750) and the 10 hitters in the group have a .600 OPS in high leverage spots (but would otherwise expect to be at .750). As a matter of mathematical certainty, the remaining hitters will have a collective OPS in high leverage spots of greater than .750 and the remaining pitchers will have a collective OPS in high leverage spots of less than .750. chances are, your 20 worst performers in high leverage situations are also your 20 worst performers in all situations. we can't look at the league median, it's as simple as comparing was hitter X does in different situations as compared to his overall performance.
  20. it already is below 2. we all know the AL doesn't count
  21. why didn't you just say that in the first place? not only does it help make your stance clear, but it also does nothing to prove your clutch theory
