  1. There's no way we don't get to 15.
  2. Looks like DeRosa to me. http://cdn.sportsmemorabilia.com/sports-product-image/mark-derosa-autographed-baseball2-124-t352582-500.jpg
  3. You think hitting third caused that? I think that's a pretty silly contention. I would have used the word "dumb", but I agree.
  4. You're missing a whole lot of singles there. bobby boy, batting average doesn't count. that has been what I have been told at every turn on this thread, and board. OB% and obp matter, can't change that to fit your argument now You are the worst. what are you stuck in the 1980's? that's what I was told when talking about batting average... in this case if you both get on base at a .325 clip, and the difference in slugging is so small, what is the difference in performance? castro got singles where barney got walked...outcome? both on first. so, 3 bases is the difference in their slugging, and the slugging is the difference in their OPS. Nobody is talking about batting averages except you. Castro has 17 more total bases.

  6. That's not an opinion, that's a fact.

  8. First of all, he's about right in the middle. Secondly, that doesn't mean he's good and worthy of praise; this is a pretty terrible team offensively. for the season he is outperforming Stewart, Soto, Soriano easily. he is right there statistically with castro, yes castro he is very close to Dejesus slightly better slugging and OPS than Campana, slightly worse average and ob%. no one saying he's great and he plays on this team so it makes sense to compare where he fits on this team. In other words, about right in the middle.
  9. Somebody ban this clown.
  10. First of all, he's about right in the middle. Secondly, that doesn't mean he's good and worthy of praise; this is a pretty terrible team offensively.
  11. You must be ecstatic with his reemergence.
  12. The thing is, these are all questions you could easily answer yourself especially considering your tremendous knowledge of baseball.
  13. DeJesus OBP in 2004: .360 DeJesus OBP in 2012: .360 And the average AL OBP in 2004 was 20 points higher than it was in the NL this year. But yeah, consistently gone down. by the way soccer, that would mean that an OB% of 360 in 2004 would be the equivilent of .340 this year. Thanks for the help it shows even more for my point that his 40 game split of .360 will likely go down this year. ohhhhhhh man do i love this post I don't. It gave me a headache.
  14. Wrong yet again. Caps on the W as well, chief.
  15. Sure he is, but he's still often overrated.
  16. I normally don't get too wrapped up in the rivalry, but there is a guy at work who cackles when he talks about Pujols. I wish Albert all the success in the world because it sounds so creepy.
  17. Don't over think it; we all know what happened here.
