See? If Rizzo bounces back to being Rizzo and, like, one of Soler or Bryant starts hitting like expected things suddenly start looking very different. There's a lot of baseball left, but typically masochistic Cubs fans are convinced it's impossible that something like Rizzo just being Rizzo will happen. And Castro is fixed. he's a terrible hitter who is the third catcher. he'll start, at most, once every five games and offers nothing with the bat or on the basepaths. carrying welington castillo was a liability, but at least he could come off the bench and give you a decent at bat. it's basically a wasted roster spot, miraculous hit yesterday notwithstanding. And it's basically ridiculous to think someone who has been able to sustain a fairly lengthy professional baseball career as a catcher can offer nothing to a young catcher who needs instruction.
