    Jim Hendry (numerous dates over the winter) - "Sammy Sosa will be my right fielder" He always gave himself an out when he spoke about Sammy by saying he is my RF now. Yesterday, Hendry not only said that Corey was going to remain a Cubs player but that he expected him to be better in the future.

    That's me! :D I figured that was a model or somebody's girlfriend. LOL, am I the only one that thinks that's funny? "somebody's girlfriend" may not equal model... Oh never mind, I have a twisted sense of humor. Thanks for the compliment. :D

    Either this guy is good and is feeding stuff from our own board, OR he could be very right. Isn't this the same deal Vance spoke from his Astros source OML Toss in Troy Patton and you got that exact deal. I assue this poster can read, so I wouldn't use that as confirmation. Sorry if that comes off a bit harsh, but I don't buy it. I hope I'm wrong. Frankly, I don't buy it either however, I will gladly apologize if it comes to fruition. The problem with this supposed trade is that Jim Hendry was live on The Score yesterday afternoon saying that Corey would not be traded (in direct response to questions about the rumors that he was being shopped). He sounded extremely emphatic and everyone knows Hendry is a big Patterson supporter therefore, I have no faith in this trade.

    There's Astros/Pirates on MLB.tv - I watched yesterday's first game too. Does anyone go to these games or are they played on the moon or something? OK, people work, I get that, but even so...there's like nobody there. Well, its the battle of the mediocre. Plus, the Pirates have been below average for several consecutive years. It's difficult to get fans excited about seeing them play. In other news, will Daryle Ward ever get another hit? lol, I think he's 0 for his last 23

    I guess it depends on your interpretation. She's 19. A 22-year-old guy interested in a 19-year-old woman? And I thought I had heard everything. Don't mess up. And by that I mean don't knock over little kids to get a HR ball. If you knock over some teenagers to get a HR ball and give it to a little kid, though, that might get you some points. Points???? Heaven forbid he give the ball to the kid because he's really a nice guy. :wink:

    Ugh... too bad they don't have Game Over Gagne anymore.. Yes, Eric would have closed the door. Oh well, they still have a half game lead on us in the WC. I think instead of they, you should have said the Phillies, so people don't think your crazy and think you think the Dodgers are ahead of us in the WC. Well, the 'they' was understood. Anyone following the standings knows the Dodgers are trailing the Cubs by several (6) games.
