Poster said he had a source telling him a Dunn for Patterson, Mitre, Hill deal was going to be completed sometime between last night and tomorrow evening....lots of speculation...today, he came on and said he still expects it to be done by tomorrow evening, but Bruce Miles said nothing is going on right now...supposedly, the Reds radio announcer asked Hendry tonight about that rumor, Hendry said it was too steep of a price. and most importantly (and infuriating) Bruce said Hendry wouldnt trade Hill for Dunn straight up :pukel: I can understand why Hendry would be hesitant do make this trade. Hill has greater value because he's lefthanded plus, he has a curveball that has been compared to Zito's. From what I understand, he has the most strikeouts of any pitcher in the minor leagues (not just the Cubs farm system) and in 5 -2/3 innings of MLB time he fanned 9. All of that makes him pretty valuable. I think that any GM would think twice about doing that deal within his own division; It's bad enough that Dontrelle Willis is in the NL the Cubs don't want to face Rich Hill in the Central.
