  1. Running through that, GHS is in. Dealer's is in b/c he's got tie breaker over HIPS and HBC. So winner of HBC and HIPS gets the last spot. Quakers has tie break over STI. So truffle only gets in if he wins & Quakers loses.
  2. Tiebreaker reminder (from the CBS "League Details" page) Ties in the standings are resolved in this order: Winning Percentage, Head to Head Record, Division Record, Total Points, Points Against (Schedule Difficulty). This is also how draft order ties are broken.
  3. bc you can't remember ever having heard of him before Sunday night?
  4. The fans start booing as soon as he is brought out from the pen here. The gate opens and his entire walk to the mound is serenaded by booing. maybe bosio can work another miracle
  5. It says right on it that it was removed at the request of the copyright holder a 5 second gif of a 3-hour game isn't infringing. [expletive] mlb
  6. i blame david spending 2 pages being wrong for the missed prior posting of that article
  7. Yep. Rosters freeze as of midnight EST on Sunday, September 6. That will be your keeper roster heading into the offseason.
  8. Is it possible he saw the writing on the wall? They hired Dipoto earlier this year and even still Dombrowski is very hands on. When he took over the Tigers he fired the incumbent GM less than a month into his first season He probably thinks he can get a real GM position somewhere else rather than being under a president of baseball ops/GM like Dombrowski.
  9. it's almost as if having a front office full of geniuses might have some benefits
  10. sent another set of messages to owners whose rosters needed fixing. one that was meant only for rodelo went to everyone. sorry for the confusion.
  11. lifetime contract theo. get on it.
  12. good article though. just love his attitude.
  13. I need a picture of bryant trying not to [expletive] his pants after an evening of too many bro brews with rizzo.
  14. I'm not sure what you're talking about. I have exactly enough active players - 16 starts; 3 bench players. I have 5 starts already and 4 guys happen to all start on Sunday. Am I supposed to drop 2 of my pitchers and add 2 pitchers that aren't starting today just b/c luck puts 4 of my starters all on the same day? Believe me, I'd much rather all 4 of these starts happen tomorrow since I currently only have 4 total starts for next week and I had 11 this week. The only reason this is an issue is b/c the software is stupid. The limit should be 19 total active players. If you want to put all 19 on your bench, knock yourself out (I'd rather do that then have teams full of minor league players in their active MLB roster for months).
  15. fyi my starts today are Felix and Arrieta. I have two others slated to start and no room on my bench, so I'll remove points from Nelson and Corbin.
  16. Big week coming up sports fans. Rotation plays out favorably with Lester and Arrieta both taking the bump twice. We dodge MadBum, but get Cub-killer Liriano today to kick things off. How do we do?
  17. If you look at my post in the roster thread, the Cubs have to add Richard to the 40 and 25 man rosters for tomorrow's start. If they do so, the most logical candidate to send down in the 3rd C (Teagarden). But then they'll call up a bat the next day (Richard DFA'd this time for good). It can't be Teagarden again unless there is an injury, he has to be down 10 days. Baez is the most logical/ready/helpful choice to come up on Monday. i guess that's what i'm asking - is he really ready & helpful? 7 Ks in his last 4 games isn't a great sign.
  18. We're all now positive that Baez is coming back up soon?
  19. you know who else threw 86? Greg Maddux. I'm not sure how this is relevant either.
  20. and morse is dfa'd. hope he didn't get on the plane yet.
  21. I'd love to have Castro in town. He'd probably come here and suck like every other non-Nelson Cruz bat they've acquired.
