  1. I guess I'm confused by the number of people that get doped by these things all the time. Why is it so unbelievable when it happens every day? Also, there's no benefit and a ton of risk to Te'o. On the flip side, huge benefit to the guys behind this who just got espn to cover a presser on their hoax.
  2. Complicit? How? That he perpetrated the fraud? To what end? He made up a gf for 2+ years? He was on the cover of SI before the alleged death. Then you think a lawyer and AD of ND is going to go out and publicly defend the kid and speak about the details, including the investigator they hired? I mean. What's the end game? Where's the benefit to a quiet, shy kid that everyone thought was sincere To me, given his ethnicity and faith, the homosexuality angle seems much more likely than him trying to drum up popularity, but of course that question goes both ways as well. Why would you string along Te'o for 2+ years and then fake that character's death? Is "con the college middle linebacker for multiple years, hope he gets famous, then fake their death and blackmail him for the secret" a much more likely outcome? Yes. Do you realize this is a thing that people do? He's not the only guy to get hoaxed. Why is the world would he risk his NFL career for this? Bc he's gay? What does being gay have to do with killing an internet gf off to fraud the public?

  4. I don't know what ND did to you, but your irrationality on this one subject will forever baffle me.
  5. Couldn't confirm it. Explains why DS ran it without waiting to hear back from ND and Te'o.
  6. Have you seen the women at ND? Not a difficult group to eschew
  7. Did he ever tell the media he met her? I know his dad did but I don't remember if Manti ever was quoted by the media. Pretty easy to believe he lied to his dad bc he didn't want to admit he'd never met her. I blame Lane Kiffin and it will probably go more smoothly for you if you just join in in the joke-making. i mean real jokes, not lane kiffin ones. And it would be easier for you if you weren't a commie bastard but we all have our crosses to bear

  9. Reports that Layla Kiffin played the role of "Girlfriend on the Phone" are unconfirmed
  10. How do you release a statement of shrugging your shoulders and tugging at your collar? If Manti is in on it, you throw him to the wolves. He's earned it. If he was duped, you need more than 5 lines about it bc there is still a lot of missing info on both sides.
  11. Gonna need more info than that ND
  12. Hey did you guys hear about Lance Armstrong? PEDs? Strong arming teammates. Now that's an interesting topic.
  13. That's an incredible story.
  14. Eagles may have agreed to more of his control demands when other candidates fell through. Though sanctions probably played a role. According to tweets, he never demanded control, and wasn't given control. According to tweets he was staying at Oregon. Something changed in the last few days.

  16. I heard Lane stopped the brawl before it started, saved the lives of several small children in the area and cured cancer later that night. Swell guy.
  17. Kelly to Philly. Guess Chip's assistants found out via twitter. Hahaha.
  18. Castillo? Crap, AJ Ellis is exempt this year and at least appears within the first 30 catchers in projected points and the top 15 based on last year's points. He's priced to move.
  19. The newbies have to cover the costs, I thought
  20. By promising not to murder them
  21. It may be noteworthy to point out that number is 2, that award is just something handed out by the AP, and it's only 40 years old. It's as much reputational as anything else. lol sp. He's one of a handful of guys to win an award twice (with LT winning 3 times) and you spin it like you did. Hahaha.
  22. bc I can log in.
  23. Actually your team is worse than mine. Never mind.
  24. Those are good seats. Upper Deck box are mine and my wife's preferred seats, so I was very torn when I decided to go with some nice Terrace Box seats instead. My only hesitation on the Upper Deck was that they tend not to resell as well because a lot of people unknowingly assume that lower level is always better. Then again, we probably can't expect decent resale on anything for at least another year or two. Yeah, I'm not too worried about resale; I'm pretty confident the team is going to be good enough that that won't be too much of a problem within a couple of years. And you're right, when I went I was definitely thinking the upper deck would be settling, but I really like what I ended up with. That said, I bought like two dozen tickets from a friend's season ticket package back in 2008 and they were lower level, directly back from the Cubs' dugout and just under where the upper deck begins. Amazing view, never in the sun, right in front of one of the walkways and literally next to a tunnel and there was a bathroom right at the end of it; they were perfect. First couple rows in the UD and the first section behind the Cubs pen are my favorite of the non-1% tix.
  25. Feldman tweets that RB Cierre Wood is "leaving early" for the draft. Maybe he means he plans to give himself a couple extra hours to deal with traffic bc Wood is graduating this spring (though leaving a year of eligibility on the table).
