  1. Welcome minny. Gophers suck.
  2. Says a gunman who enjoys hiding in the bushes and shooting wildly. I get that you all hate ND but I don't much give a [expletive] and I'm happy to exchange barbs with the lot of you. your repeated reponses to obvious trolling would suggest otherwise. You should read the words immediately following the bold.
  3. ND is full of 3 stars? eh, relatively for the span 2009-2012: Bama - 11 five-stars, 57 four-stars ND - 4 five-stars, 35 four-stars Weren't you the guy saying Diaco had a team of 5-stars a month ago? Bama signees the last 4 years (ignoring 5th years, like Barrett Jones): 30, 28, 26, 26 Now I'm no mathematician but that's a [expletive] load of players. 80 players before you get to the class of 30 seniors and however many 5th years are left. Yes, they have a recruiting advantage too. Doesn't fully explain how they owned LSU last year as LSU signed 100 players in the last 4 years.
  4. I don't think it is gadgets. He is able to find weaknesses and exploit them when he's given that much time. Starting his 3rd year at Bama, he's consistently crushed bowl opponents and his first real opponent (week 1 or week 2) each season. Seems to suggest that might be a strength.
  5. I only said they weren't good enough. I didn't say anything about offers being turned down. That was your comment. They wanted in and the big ten took Maryland and Rutgers instead. The details of the process aren't that important.
  6. This is just goofy. It's highly unlikely ND could have beaten Bama, Georgia, A&M and LSU in the regular season. Those teams were all deep and talented enough to play extremely competitive games against each other. ND didn't just get their butts kicked because Saban game planned well against them, but also because they were entirely overmatched by the speed and physicality of Bama. Did you watch last year's title game? LSU already beat Bama once in a close game. But with 5 weeks to prepare, LSU barely crosses midfield and is dominated in a shutout. What's the explanation there? LSU isn't physical enough for the SEC?
  7. Adam Rittenberg: Pete, some good points here on Missouri. Before Nebraska became a realistic option for Big Ten expansion, I really like the idea of adding Missouri as a 12th member. And Missouri wanted in. Real bad. But if you listened to Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany last month, he talked about building a bridge to the East Coast, being a conference in two areas of the country (Midwest and East Coast), creating a Big Ten satellite office on the East Coast. That all suggests the Big Ten is much more interested in moving East than West. Missouri has some nice pluses, too, but the demographic gains you get with Mizzou might not be as good as what you could get with Georgia Tech, North Carolina or Virginia. http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/74304/big-ten-friday-mailblog-15
  8. Replace Ole Miss with Miss St. Ole Miss won't be a gimme win next year. This year they lost by 3 to A&M and 6 to LSU (thanks to a 4th qtr punt return TD) and are only losing two starters. they went 3-5 in the sec and 5 of their wins were absolutely pathetic football teams. The previous 2 years they and 2 and 4 wins, respectively, and have won 4 or fewer games in more than half the seasons in the last decade. Are we sure having the same players is really a huge benefit?
  9. 03. Word, tough showing. Enjoy the ACC um...ok
  10. Georgia State AND Chattanooga. Colorado State, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee. 8 home games. How's any teams supposed to get through that gauntlet.
  11. What year did you graduate ND? 03.
  12. Ha ha! Your butthurtedness is at a dangerously high level. A&M finished top 5 with a freshman Heisman Trophy winner and a win at Alabama. You know, the team that just kicked the dog [expletive] out of your beloved overrated Irish last night. I'm sorry. Was that a shot at the title or did your sophomore QB piss a couple games down his leg? There's a line about 2-dozen names long of people that have "butthurtedness" about ND in the last 24 hours. Mine is not on it. Other than the one BS call on the punt return, I've never been angry about this game (and my anger lasted about 10 seconds until it became clear ND didn't have it). If I were in here claiming BS or whatever and pissing and moaning about the game, then I could totally understand. But that's not what's going on. I've yet to understand why it's totally fine for everyone that take shots at my school and when I return the favor, another dozen people cry about me and then call me pathetic. I hope to figure that one out some day.
  13. Wait, TT, what are you even arguing?
  14. I will say that I'm surprised at how little I care about the result. ND was so much better than I expected that being one of many teams beaten by a juggernaut isn't bothersome. Certainly not the worst sports night of my life. I'm also a bit surprised that it's you, TT, and sulley that are in here bitching at me for not taking [expletive] from Snayke.
  15. Man, playing by far the hardest schedule in the country wasn't enough? I don't even think I want a title now. You can't complain about your schedule. You're an sec team now. Every sec team plays an equally unimaginable schedule that's infinity harder than every other team. The non-sec teams should be honored that you showed up for their exhibition games. You can join your boy snayke in fellating big daddy bama though. Boy you're really flailing about now. Clinging to "We didn't play any FCS schools" is a pretty odd rallying cry to hold to though. What rallying cry? Who am I rallying? You lost to Vandy and Syracuse. You think it really matters whether you had the hardest or 50th hardest schedule?
  16. Maybe we can transition into playing more weak out of conference teams such as Notre Dame. The list keeps growing. #5lossfans

  18. Says a gunman who enjoys hiding in the bushes and shooting wildly. I get that you all hate ND but I don't much give a [expletive] and I'm happy to exchange barbs with the lot of you. But I'd love to see someone identify a poster that I threw the first jab at.
  19. I'd care about this but I'm too busy celebrating another championship. Maybe Bama will let you spit shine their crystal balls when they're giving it to you again next year.
  20. How many more fans of teams with 5+ losses this year are going to ride Bama's coat tails?
  21. and UM lost by even less than ND...we're so close to a title i can just taste it Do you remember what a title feels like? I don't mean a half a title, I mean like the whole thing. Since the Rose Bowl is the equivalent of a national title to UM, maybe you do.
  22. Also known as an SEC title. Haha. I love the mizzou fans turned sec fan boys. My conference, in which my team is a doormat, and that we jumped into bc we weren't good enough for the big ten THAT JUST ADDED MARYLAND AND RUTGERS, is the best conference. Bow down to our superiority.
  23. Sure. Now they just have to win 12 games against BCS teams. Playing 12 BCS teams would be a start.
  24. The Chicago song "If You Leave Me Now" started playing in my head when I saw that picture. Sucks to be Arkansas, A&M and all those other teams that may never be this close to a bcs title
  25. They're at 75 and with Leon jumping in this weekend, they couldn't take him as an EE. They need the spring/summer to trim a couple more spots. Makes sense - that's the reasoning being mentioned on UCLA forums. Sounds like USC gambled he'd be willing to wait till June but, as you said, Fitts was pissed because of all he had to do to be an EE. Looks like UCLA is in a good place to get him, especially since they're on the quarter system. I think UCLA is in a good spot but I wouldn't be surprised if he's pretty open and waits until signing day. If Bama had pulled this instead of southern cal, he may still be on board. i.e., I think the losses, esp the bowl, and the general unrest in Laneyland are at least as important as switch on EE status. I guess ND has already been in contact with him and is trying to schedule a visit.
