  1. Some questions about his effort on routes in general and especially on plays when he wasn't the primary target.
  2. To the pen or are they getting creative somehow?
  3. I actually went and looked a MiLB numbers to verify my gut feeling and their HRs in the minors are pretty comparable so I went with the comparison.
  4. I love the new uniforms and you had me until the last paragraph. Hard no on these becoming the standard home uniforms. Although I do disagree with @Jason Ross on the cap logo.
  5. Those MiLB numbers are very Mark Grace to me.
  6. He did a pretty good job of beating the Cubs while he was on the team.
  7. QB was hurt a lot and other teams rolled all their coverage to him so the guy on the other side saw a lot of targets and is now a Miami Dolphin.
  8. Ha! That was exactly where my mind went when I saw him at 16. There were 15 guys who hit .500 or better with power and almost no Ks (or the pitching equivalent of that)?
  9. Nah, the Phillies got some extra strikes but he was just bad.
  10. For yet another opinion that nobody cares about, I liked it overall but the LB and CB picks were puzzling considering they didn't get anyone to rush the passer. I get that the CB was a great value at that spot but unless they're getting rid of Stevenson, I'm not sure I understand that one at all.
  11. There's no way he would be the guy I'd send in a trade for a pitcher. The bat is never going to be a question and how many prospects can you say that about? With PCA here long term, hopefully Tucker getting signed to a deal, and Happ on the way out after 2026, you only need one of Caissie or Alcantara and they should be the ones dangled in trade. An elite bat hitting like he is in AAA doesn't come around often and I'd hate to lose that with how wide the gap has become between the minors and MLB and guys struggling to figure it out.
  12. Javy. The back toe turn is the giveaway.
  13. I’m good with this, especially with a draft that’s like 75 players deep. Good value to be had and 109 gets a much, much better player than you can get in the 7th.
  14. I wouldn't hate DeJong. Good defender and he'll hit some dongs even if he doesn't maintain the offensive resurgence he had last year.
  15. They still have one at 72. They also have a horseshoe up their ass and moved from 13 to 5 in the lottery. I hate them.
  16. He may have already been picked if Deion wasn't his dad. That's a lot of baggage. I've even seen speculation that some coaches wouldn't want him because Deion has said the only way he'd coach in the NFL is if it was to coach his son and they take that as a threat to their job.
  17. What's with the F grade for Ersery? Too early for him or is he not expected to be able to stick at T?
  18. The Cardinals having almost $5M more in pool money than the Cubs when they finished with the same record last year sure is something.
  19. My favorite part of Pat's broadcasting is that you can tell how genuinely excited he is to get to do that job every day. When Wrigley really gets roaring and he says "Listen to this Wrigley crowd" the level of excitement in his voice is something you just don't get from other broadcasters in the authentic way he delivers it.
  20. Triantos would require a 40 man spot that they probably want to keep as fungible as possible for flexibility. Lopez is a guy you just don't care if you have to drop him but once Triantos is added he's on the 40 man permanently if you have any designs on him being an MLB contributor.
  21. He made $254 per pitch last night at least.
  22. Yeah, it'll cost them $50K or something to get him back unless the teams work something out for him to stay with the Cubs.
  23. I'm rooting for panic as well. I've seen some talk of teams getting desperate and a scenario where Ward, Sanders, Dart and Shough all come off the board before the Bears pick. That's the dream scenario because then you obviously have some really good players to choose from and/or the 10th pick becomes very juicy trade bait.
