  1. Yep, that LOB% just continues to climb. And with Goldschmidt at the plate with the bases loaded and 1 out no less.
  2. There was a ridiculous stat last week some time that said the Cubs, Cards, and Pirates were 38-10 in their last 16 games each and 33-5 in games they hadn't played each other.
  3. Well, it's Rick Horton, former Cardinal pitcher, so that's kind of a relevant opinion for him to have. I missed the Wrigley thing. That was a looooooooooong HR by Carpenter into the camera well in CF.
  4. Yep, nailed it!
  5. I'm not sure why, but it sounds like he thinks Schwarber and Bryant would for some unknown reason be playing LF and RF with Coghlan at 2nd. But he's a crazy person who very rarely makes sense, so that may be way off.
  6. I loled [tweet] [/tweet] I mean, Amaro and Stewart are probably worse, but come on.
  7. Likely won't be giving up as many as they have lately either. I'm looking at you Dan Haren.
  8. And how many have we been robbed of so far because it was blowing in unusually often early this year?
  9. I think the amount of butthurt here is even more amazing: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=94236&st=1575 This was my favorite:
  10. He likely learned English by speaking it with others and not from a book like we would, so I imagine he probably types like he talks. Also, it's freaking awesome and he's great. Other than Lester just a little bit, there's really not one guy on the entire team who's unlikable.
  11. Meh, until he sucks in the actual season, I'll still go with the "had multiple injuries most of the year"/"preseason doesnt matter" combination of excuses. This is pretty much where I am right now, hoping against hope it's the correct thought process.
  12. Here's Miller Park, so that's clearly completely wrong.
  13. About 8 rows deep to straightaway RF.
  14. Ross was on it pretty quickly and while Lester didn't go for it, it would have been tough to pull off even for a guy who fields the position really well.
  15. That's kind of like asking to explain why a good home run hitter can't steal bases. His question is kind of dumb, but your response blew his dumb out of the water.
  16. Should have at least made an attempt to field it. Would've been a tough play, especially for him with the throwing issues.
  17. As terribly cliche as it is, this is exactly the kind of game he's getting that huge paycheck to win.
  18. That's a couple really nice turns by LaStella and Castro.
  19. David Ross scoffs at your lack of faith.
  20. It's a shame that guy is probably going to have to exit before our guy that is also shutting them out. I was just going to mention that Kluber is at 72 pitches through 5 and Lester just finished the 6th at 70. He's having a helluva game himself.
  21. No way, he's never even been an all star.
