    Man, he just got BABIPed to death at the end there. The rockets he gave up before that certainly didn't help though.

    Well, there was bound to be some regression from the pitchers but I would have preferred it didn't all happen at once. Upside is that hopefully they get it out of their systems and go back to being good soon.

    Yeah, that was my thought until I saw the noise ordinance piece. That's probably going to be an issue for a playoff watch party, even with restricting it to under 1,000.

    I don't think this is coincidence. There's a reason they've picked out the guys they have. I'd be willing to bet they've developed some sort of algorithm that's helping them focus on starting pitchers with a very low injury probability and damned if it's not working pretty well so far.

    maybe. i don't think i've ever seen a preview for another ID movie but have not really kept up with the Independence movie franchise, fortunately. The original movie was the major movie debut for Will Smith at his jiggiest worst. That movie is terrific if for no other reason than Pullman's speech.

    I don't understand how this happens. Are the Braves your local broadcast or something? It's the only option for the game on MLB Extra Innings. Weird. If you have mlbtv on a Bluray or something similar, both feeds are available.

    Sounds like he's had Javy type adjustment issues at each new level. So, he's likely to be really bad early on.

    You're not new, and you have a history. A no-hitter is completely different than a shutout, and only everyone that's ever watched baseball should know that. I've seen new posters get slaughtered on here for making points you guys felt were silly. That's not conducive towards increasing forum activity. Also as I said before Arrieta had pitched a no hitter before. And considering how important he is to this team's overall success I don't think pulling Arrieta in a blowout win would be an awful idea. I think it's safe to say a mature player, like Arrieta, would understand the thought process behind the move. HE THREW LESS THAN 120 PITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then proceeded to throw 92, 99, and 100 in his next 3 starts and hadn't thrown more than 100 in any start previous to that one. Again, you're out looking for anything negative you can find on a team that's on pace to break the ML record for wins. Just stop.
