  1. Wouldn't it make sense to bring Lackey in and have Lester go tomorrow on 3 days rest if there's a game?
  2. Usually I get your schtick, but this is utter nonsense. Quit pretending you don't know what he's saying here.
  3. I don't get that thinking. I mean, do you want the calls to be right or not? It's an interesting debate and I saw that Passan and Law are on opposing sides.
  4. I was only half listening and assumed he was talking about the rotations.
  5. Are you really that big of a dope?
  6. I especially enjoyed the part where they compared the statistics from last year between Lester and Chris Heston and came to the conclusion that Heston was better somehow. :-k
  7. You wouldn't be surprised if a starting pitcher started three games in six days? Math really is hard. Started yesterday (day 1), maybe start Saturday on 2 days rest (days 2-4), then start on regular rest in game 5 (days 5-9).
  8. Any thoughts that all the high fastballs were to exploit a particular weakness in the Mets' hitters? I have a feeling there would be a pretty different approach against the Cubs.
  9. [tweet]https://twitter.com/LenKasper/status/783867866508619776[/tweet]
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] Holy horsefeathers, this is amazing.
  11. Any idea why I'm getting Philadelphia Detroit in STL? Seems pretty random.
  12. Why do the Cardinals get four outs in the ninth?
  13. Jerko just hit a go ahead HR on a pitch that was at least 3" outside. The pitcher, Rivero, gave him a golf clap as he rounded the bases it was so dumb.
  14. +13, they shouldn't be contending Yeah, he's not wrong. They've Cardinal'ed their way to the playoffs.
  15. If you're looking for cheap, I'd go with the Elk Grove area and take the blue line to the red or a bus to get down to Wrigley.
  16. Pretty good? [tweet] [/tweet]
  17. Not shocked. He's a clumsy homer idiot. Grew up in STL, went to Mizzou and was in Denver for a while before being brought back home to replace Miklasz. He's so not even close to objective and an enormous dork who thinks he's much funnier than he is on top of it.
  18. So, the Eagles are good?
  19. My guess is it may be difficult to control and be effective just dialing it up 1-3 times a game, and the increased risk of doing so at all is not worth the incremental gain of using it 1-3 times. Or at least that is how he and his people view the risk. Exactly, it's the reps in side sessions and working on mechanics that makes the pitch consistent. If you're concerned with injury, you're not going to dial it up in side sessions or games throughout the season and perhaps that's been happening more frequently of late to get dialed up for the postseason. Really though, who knows?
  20. He's struggled a bit with it recently, but nothing I'm worried about. He had one game in particular where he made 3 bad throws and got bailed out on at least one of them by Rizzo.
  21. Ha! Zobrist rode his bike to the park in full uniform today? That's amazing!
  22. I keep seeing them compare 2006 and 2011 to this year. The reasonable people I talk to down here know that those were both a perfect storm of getting healthy and hot at the right time and have zero expectation of that happening again. The mouth breathers definitely are using that.
  23. The general resignation to their fate down here is glorious. Almost always followed by "Hey, if this is our down year, we're still doing pretty well". No acknowledgement that the Cubs are now their overlords.
