Mark Derosa just hit an RBI double. Hahahahah! You're not seriously wishing they had DeRosa instead, right? Not really. This team isn't going to contend, anyway. It would have been nice to have him last year, though. That .250/.319/.433 line would have really made a difference. The Cubs got a good return for him. Those slash stats were obtained while playing for different teams in different ballparks against different pitchers. His stats with the Cubs might have been better or worse, but they wouldn't have been the same. No one in all of baseball liked the trade for the Cubs when it happened, and none of the guys the Cubs got are ranked in the organization's top 10 by BA. I'm not saying it's not smart to sell high, but trading Derosa for questionable prospects when the team looked like a playoff contender was dumb, especially since his replacement was Aaron Miles for $4.9 million.
