    guh....come on. i'm in a good mood and you bring this. Vitters for Grabow? Name the last time Hendry traded a TOP prospect during the season? I mean someon of Vitters ability. Hate on Hendry if you want, but he does do trades very solid. Cesar Izturis says hi.

Len said it would be tough for Bucknor to call balls and strikes after getting hit by the pitch. Bob said it's hard for Bucknor to call balls and strikes under the best of circumstances.

To join, just send me a PM with your email address, and I'll send you an invite. Everyone is welcome, but please don't join if you can't draft at 1pm central time on Saturday. Auctions are much more interesting when real humans are drafting (even moreso than snake drafts).

    Just because there's a rule against corked bats doesn't mean corked bats increase performance. MLB commissioned a physics study many years ago that shows that, if anything, corked bats actually decrease distance of batted balls. Corked bats are as performance-enhancing as pine tar. Just because pot's illegal doesn't mean it's morally reprehensible. I don't smoke pot and never have, but it's pretty depressing to watch my government expend money and other resources in fighting a pointless war.

    Actually, they're the best defensive team in baseball. Cubs team defensive efficiency is .716.

    Blanco would have made that play. If Theriot and Blanco are both going to be in the lineup, I really don't understand why Theriot has to play SS.
