It can't be called I can't say I'm a fan of this rule, but then again, I can't really decide what I would think if the situation was reversed. I generally operate under the assumption that baseball doesn't need any new rules. That's not a result of any new rule, is it? In the past the home team always got to bat in the bottom of the inning if the visitors were winning before the game could be called, IIRC. From the sounds of things, in the past it would have reverted to the last full inning and the Cubs probably would have lost already. I definitely like the new rule. After the 5th inning, no runs should come off the board. Right. That's my understanding of the old rule.
