  1. Roy Keane is pretty old at this point. Their only good player of note after him is Damian Duff, and even with those limitations they very nearly qualified Robbie Keane? Shay Given? Admittedly, a 22-man squad would be thin on the ground, though.
  2. I was just briefly bitten by the curling bug. Its passed now.
  3. Z rules. Its been fun watching him before, it will be fun watching him in future and who won't tune in to watch him (and hope his arm doesn't explode) in the WBC?

I think I just went through the normal way, and it charged me in dollars. That was part of the reason I did it - $12.99 is about £7.50, not bad for a month.

Works well for me, BWKB. However the early mornings afterwards don't. (I curse the West Coast dates)

I don't think so - I think they just broadcast the one, at least that's how it worked last year. You can get Spanish commentary, though, for some games.
  7. I have seen one Cubs hat in the UK in my lifetime. I have probably seen more Yankees caps than I have hairs on my head. That's the UK perspective.
  8. Nice. Way to incorporate a different audience. GB won gold, I believe, last time up so curling's huge here. Its prime-time entertainment. Sometimes I worry about my home country.
  9. I've been enjoying the coverage in the UK; the commentator is just making up words to describe things. 'That is an awesome potato' 'He's caught some good funny there' Not actual examples, but not far off.
  10. I've got MLB.tv, so I can watch any of the Cubs games from last year when I want. I sometimes do, as well.
  11. Ice dancing is not a sport, but that Chinese lady's fall was certainly wince-worthy as far as injuries go.
  12. ??? there is nothing strange about that. It is just the steelers video and such That's what I found, too. With it having 'Seattle offer' in the address, its a definite remind of what might have been, however.
  13. Yeah, I'm big on luge and I'll probably catch some of the speed skating, too. Basically, if people are going at great speed on ice with really sharp things near them, I'm there.
  14. In some ways, its a shame, because Venezuela played some good baseball throughout the series. In other ways, its appropriate, because some of the games had a feeling of oddness about them that that hit exemplified.
  15. Congratulations to Venezuela; I enjoyed a lot of their games. Good to see Blanco coming up trumps in the end as well. :D
  16. The word 'glory' is so inappropriate to this thread, too.
  17. I'm always baffled as to why anyone would bother signing up to any message board just to post things like this.
  18. I'll listen in, certainly, but I don't know about asking anything - the thing I'm really curious about we won't know until the season's well underway; whether or not there's more people going to watch the Jaxx this season after the events of the off-season.
  19. Sox by a distance.... at least from what I've seen.
  20. 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs - Ave. up to .211; this is the first of the games I didn't watch, but I figured I may as well update.
  21. I didn't notice it, Mizzou, but that's no guarantee it didn't happen. I've not seen any mention of it in any of the reports I've read yet, either.
  22. I shouldn't have been at work more than an hour already. :x
  23. Its becoming familiar. Blanco goes 0 for 4. Average now .188 (I think that makes his OBP .250, but don't quote me on that)
  24. :D Thanks. I need sleep now.
  25. :D I'm a very, very happy man.
