  1. I'm beginning to get a bit upset now. Its becoming (already) a little depressing. Maddux has been a ray of Spring sunshine so far. I hope that continues. It would do one of my fantasy teams a lot of good, too.
  2. By Len and Bob? UNDER. It has to happen DURING the telecast right? I'll take under. They will mention it to start, and slip it in there during play by play a few times. But deffinatly UNDER, 10. I think over. There'll be plays that occur that Lee would make differently, and then there's the Lee spot in the batting line-up.
  3. He could be using a friend's address to avoid detection. OK, he'd be using his own name, so its a long shot, but it could be a sort of double-bluff.
  4. ...I agree. How can anyone have so many posts without a lot of them being worthless? Like this one.
  5. I put in a game thread that he must just be here to be used as a pinch runner. What else can he do?
  6. Actually, now you mention it, I look forward to Barrett lately, too. Bynum? I just don't understand what he's doing there. I'm sure he's just on the roster to be a pinch runner.
  7. I'm excited by this game. I really am. I like watching D-Lee, and I appreciate that he gives a lot to the team. However, I quite like watching Matt Murton and Ronny Cedeno, too, and they're bringing their own lot to the team. (Its not that I don't like the rest of the team, but I find I anticipate their ABs more than, say, Todd Walker. Don't hate me for it). I don't think there'll be a sweep - either way - this weekend, and I think the Cubs have got enough, though its gonna be tough, to win two of the three. As for the months without Lee. I'm not optimistic yet, but I'm willing to be persuaded.
  8. I'm not sure why this would have been a tough decision, even though a surprising # of people picked A-Ram. His career high in HRs is 36 and he's injury prone. Pujols has 40+ HRs 3 years in a row, and has been very durable his whole time in the majors. For that matter, so has Dunn. The only guys in group B that I seriously considered were Pujols, Dunn, and Teixeira. I was thinking that A-Ram might come in and have a stellar year. It was history - as you say - that made me vote against it. I went for Teixeira, too. But that was just because I like his name.
  9. I'm just glad I picked Pujols instead of A-Ram. It was a tough decision, but I'd have dropped well off the pace if I hadn't.
  10. I holds my hands up and apologise. In my defence, I'm not very good.
  11. I was away for most of the weekend, and couldn't trace where I'd gone wrong before I left. I'll put up some rough updates tomorrow morning, and then, seeing as I've got the week off, try and find where my problem is on the spreadsheet. Suffice to say, a lot of people are looking a lot healthier after Pujols' exploits eariler today.
  12. :D - I got a hit my first time up. I'm coming after y'all. Slowly.
  13. I've got Hawkcub and Ublink on 12 at the moment. I'll look into that - see what problem I've got.
  14. That sounds right then. Just going out for a bit, I'll enter yesterday's homers when I get back, and then upload to a free site - just so people can get hold of it.
  15. Right, I think I'm up and running. If anyone's about that's been keeping up-to-date, I have XZero on 31 and UBlink on 10 at the top and bottom of my chart - is that about right? If it is, I'll post it up; CubsIn NC, I don't know what sort of take up there'll be on the downloading front, but if you PM me, we can discuss bandwidth, that sort of thing.
  16. I'm doing a new-look one, actually, to make it easier. All the doing is done, but I'll update the scores to include tonight's games. That'll be (my) tomorrow morning.
  17. I'm in now, but I won't be challenging the leaders any time soon.
  18. The last game was about as fun as this post.
  19. At least you have radio. It's MLB.com Gameday time for me...Gameday Audio's not even an option because I'm in the so called "blackout" range. How much does Gameday Audio cost? $14.95 for the season. Its far less irritating that MLB.tv, but, obviously, you can't see the pictures.
  20. - You're one of about 15 suffering from that problem.
  21. I'm planning my day around this game, so Jacque better come up trumps. I'm gonna be both very tired and/or irritable by the time he gets to bat, so he better swing well. Also, if he gets a HR, I'll be able to further test that all the people who selected Jones J in the HR Derby (6 - count 'em) have the correct line. Which would be good. It would also guarantee the Cubs at least a run, which would also be good.
  22. Let me know, I aim to have my finalised (all singing and all dancing one) spreadsheet ready for this evening's game - I've been back and taken all the data again, so it should have it right. Ed - I have you for 10 now (before Sunday's games).
