    I hadn't heard what had happened to Michael Restovich for a long, long time; he just took a walk for the Columbus Clippers. And stole a base. (I knew he wasn't with the Cubs any more, but haven't followed him around)

    I was just about to make a Qatar joke, too. I've got £10 (yeah, its not a lot) on Qatar being at a major finals before 2020. I think their investment in football will bring good things in time.

    That's how I've always understoood it; I read an article breaking it all down somewhere (probably THT, its the stat site I read most often)

    I'd not seen a lot of your posts before the polls started (don't quite know why) but I've started to notice you a lot more since we've been voting for each other - which is surely a good thing. If nothing other than as an 'introduction service' to people on the board. I know there were a few posters who'd not seen me posting, either.

    How about going a little outlandish and saying something like 'he can only pitch 10 innings in the next week'? That way, either one or two of his starts would suffer, but it would be balance-able.

    That's the story we're being sold at the moment. I get the feeling he probably did sit up and realise that he wasn't doing everything he could do - be it injury related (which means we'll reap the problems with it later) or a mental issue (in which case, kudos thus far). For now, I'm going to appreciate what we've got, and hold off the questions until they need to be asked.

    I can believe it. I was watching Real vs. Bayern in a bar in Spain (in this season's Champions League). When Bayern scored, one of the barment went absolutely stir-crazy. I thought he'd spilled oil on his whatnots or something. He was, I assume, a Barcelona fan.
