  1. The bad part is that there isn't much in the way of top QBs uncommitted right now. Devlin picked a horrible time to decide to transfer as most all of the good QBs are mostly locked up. If JoPa wants one in this class, he'll likely have to steal one away from another team. which he may be able to do, since they won't be buried in the depth chart for 2 years anymore Possible, though QBs are a weird breed. Matt Barkley (top QB prospect in this class) is heading to USC despite there being three former five star recruits in front of him. And Notre Dame got the #1 ranked QB the previous two years (Clausen, Crist). Still having trouble figuring that one out. Crist was the number 2 pro-style QB, according to Rivals. Not sure about Scout, and that is a small detail, but I can be contrary that way. Sorry.

So apparently, Fulmer's taste in QB's was nowhere close to Kiffin's. For the 2nd time in 2 weeks, Kiffin has told a committed QB that he still has a scholarship offer, but that he's not a fit for the offense. Bryce Petty will now look elsewhere.
  3. Guess it's a real crap shoot when you appoint a coordinator to an SEC head coaching job. On the one hand you have Mark Richt and on the other you have Ed Orgeron. Ed Orgeron wasn't a coordinator before Ole Miss. He was a DL coach and assistant head coach, but not the defensive coordinator.
  4. Oh, Lord. What is the obsession with opponents trying to out-dbag Florida fan? Please stop. I'd really like to be able to cheer for someone in the MNC game. Why the rush to claim the throne that RedFlash abdicated?
  5. Phillip Fulmer has accepted a position at the University of Tennessee as a Special Assistant to the President, Dr. John Petersen.
  6. Congrats. You know how to make yourself look like an ass regardless of outcome. That is a gift. You're also good at math. I'd rather be good at being a human, but whatever.
  7. In fairness to Meph (I'm sure I'll get toasted for defending him), but he did say that it would be OU/Texas unless the human polls went extremely heavily toward Florida and away from Texas. And they did just that. Not defending the "i'm a bit of a god" thing, though. and i quote: "Sorry guys, Florida's not jumping Texas if Texas can stay ahead of Oklahoma in half the polls." in fact my computer projections were completely spot on, i got them exact. during the game on saturday you said, matter of fact that it would be ou-texas, without a doubt. the way it actually played out was exactly how everyone else said it would you were miserably wrong again This is actually not true. Believe me, I wish it were, but it isn't. He always left open the "if this happens" door.

And they did just that. Not defending the "i'm a bit of a god" thing, though. Believe it or not, I was about to say the exact same thing. Meph covered his own rear in the sense that he never made an absolute declaration. He knows how to exude arrogance, while not painting himself into a corner. You might call it a gift. "It's gonna be OU-Texas... well, unless this small thing that has to happen, happens." If it's OU-Texas, he's right. If that small thing happens which had to happen, then he's right. Either way he's right and he can continue his autopornography. I suspect he knew what he was doing. He was trying to get as much response as he could, and he guaranteed it by making a post that could be true regardless of outcome. As big a prick as he can be, it was actually quite a brilliant move for someone who derives so much pleasure from ruffling feathers.
  9. You mean last offseason, when BA and MiLB both had him in their Top 10? Only a fool would write him off right now.
  10. Can't possibly be true. You already said otherwise, and you're a bit of a god, remember?
  11. If you mean "juuuust missed on Julio Jones" as in Julio like OU but never consider OU? Then you would be right. Jones loved his visit to Oklahoma, but Jones was never going to go to OU, and that is guarantee. The only team I feared for Julio Jones was Texas Tech, cause Jones was definately intrigued by playing alongside Michael Crabtree and Graham Harrell. TT was the only Big 12, IMO, that had a legit shot at Jones, and he basically blew TT off the last weekend of recruiting. Who is going to be the Qb next year. A 3* Jr or a 2* soph. Its not like they are replacing John David Booty with a 5* Qb like Matt Sanchez. Coffee is good, ill give you that. I hate Bama, but you might want to do a little research before making an ignorant statement and letting a Bammer set you straight. Alabama will have a 4* (5*, depending on who you trust) RS Frosh starting, in Star Jackson. He won't be a game manager, like JPW, he'll be a playmaker. Well i did some research on rivals. Star Jackson is third on the CURRENT depth chart and doesnt have any stars. So excuse me for using Rivals. Im not a Bama insider, if he is truly a 5* i offer no appologies by what i have just found. You may want to research Rivals again. http://alabama.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=60194

Typical Bammeroid. "Yes, we lost to a team missing two of their top 4 weapons, but we'd win 7 of the next 9, guaranteed!"
  15. A Gator with a cheap shot? NO WAY! I hope Tartt is suspended for the Sugar Bowl.
  16. It was this that made me do the absolute unthinkable... cheer for Florida. Now, let's go Sooners and let's go computers... Big 12 rematch for the title, and let's go Sooners again!
  17. For a TD to almost assuredly ice the SEC championship game. How dare he be excited? I bet Juice would never celebrate like that. he's talking about the announcers' "how could he MAKE a throw like that? unBELIEVEABLE" after tebow threw a 3-yard slant pass Believe me, I hate Tebow as much as the next person, but the way some of you underrate and belittle everything the guy does is just embarrassing. Some of the things he does is actually worth praise and accolade, you know?

  19. Even if Florida wins by 2 in 15 overtimes, an apology to Redflash is never needed. His intolerable posts have driven me to rooting for Florida. He epitomizes everything that is hated about Alabama. Good riddance. Good riddance? Was he banned?
  20. The last time a Democrat was elected president for his first term... Tennessee ended the season with a new coach. Alabama Shut out Auburn in the iron bowl. Auburn head coached resigned. Alabama played Florida in the (first ever) SEC Championship and won. Alabama won National Championship. Is history repeating itself?
  21. Well, that was an explosive run.
  22. Meph's too busy finding the hilarity in animal cruelty to respond to this.
  23. It's not so much love (I've talked to you about how I wish we had brought in Tajh Boyd simply because our QBs suck), but it's a mixture of physical ability and, somewhat, ranking when he got here. The only thing keeping Crompton from being a good QB is his pitiful decision making ability. If he would quit making stupid mistakes (far, far easier said than done) he has all the physical tools to succeed. Stephens, from what I saw, has close to as strong an arm, but is a tad bit shorter and less accurate than Crompton. Recruiting rankings also play a little part in my preference. While I fully realize rankings are wrong all the time, Crompton was much more highly hyped than Stephens and I think Cutcliffe preferred Crompton. That said, if Kiffin likes Coleman, I'd be more than happy to see him get the starting gig next year. B.J. intrigues me in that he's very smart (according to Cutcliffe and he studies film like crazy apparently), is more mobile than the other two and Cut loved him. That said, I expect nothing out of any of the three QBs, so I definitely won't be dissappointed next year. That's just it... I don't think Cut did prefer Crompton. Remember, Crompton was a Sanders guy. Yes, Rivals ranked him more highly, but one of the first things that Cutcliffe did when he got to Tennessee was to contact Stephens to see about his commitment to Ole Miss. Ultimately, though it's like arguing about which sucks worse: an earache or a toothache. I, too, am hopeful that Coleman is the guy. Cut loved him, and he seems to fit what Kiffin wants to do on offense. My main thinking that Cut preferred Crompton was that while it was thought that Coleman passed Crompton on the depth chart for a while in 07, I never heard that Stephens even really challenged him. But then again, I could well be wrong. And you are certainly right that it's a futile debate between two super crappy QBs. Maybe Bryce Petty will be amazing from day one or something . . . . The reason Stephens didn't pass him? Class. Given two somewhat equal options, Fulmer would always choose the older guy. Nearly every time. Mark Levine ring a bell?
  24. Major Wright and Emmanuel Moody agree.
