  1. I horsefeathering hate Lackey so much. His stuff isn't anywhere close to good enough for him to run his horsefeathering mouth as much as he does.
  2. You'd have to be a real Neanderthal to seek payback on that pitch because you thought it was intentional if u take 1 second to look at the game situation I guarantee you it's coming. It's the Cardinal way.
  3. Jorge definitely seems ready to face ML pitching again. 6-37 with 16K's in 11 games... :?
  4. Torres plus more is what it takes to rent a relief pitcher for two months? A relief pitcher with nearly identical peripherals to our current closer. :barf:
  5. There's no way Theo gives up Torres for 2 months of renting Chapman. There has to be an extension.
  6. With the talk of Bruce/Reddick I'm guessing we're trying to move Soler...hopefully in a package for an SP.
  7. Excellent article! =D>
  8. A measurable amount, huh? How much, exactly, would that be? I'm also curious to hear your explanation of why "the crapshoot thing" is overstated. If Miller and/or Chapman were on the team, would we have won the NLCS last year? What if the April/May version of this team is what we see in the postseason? We won 11-4 in series matchups in April/May (with one tie). That equates to .733333 of series matchups we won. What difference would Miller and/or Chapman have made, and is that worth Kyle Schwarber? We agree more with this. But to be fair, just because we probably don't win the NLCS last year even with Chapman/Miller, it doesn't mean we might not win it with them this year. If Chapman also had two years of control after this one like Miller, I'd be tempted to trade Schwarbs for a lockdown bullpen. But he doesn't, so it's just not that exciting to us. True, although the same argument could be made that we could win that same NLCS matchup with our current roster. Two years of Chapman AND Miller would definitely make things more interesting. If I had to trade Schwarber I would prefer bringing back a controllable TOR pitcher. Ultimately, I would prefer to keep him and dong teams into oblivion.

If we trade Schwarber (which I would prefer doesn't happen), shouldn't we address that lack of pitching depth instead and get a controllable TOR pitcher? That contribution would be far greater, both this year and in the future.
  10. Dex withdrew from the All Star Game. Will we see first half 2016 Dex when he returns...or the first half 2015 version? I fear the latter...
  11. Our offense looks like hot garbage lately. Three outs away from 4 in a row.
  12. kicked in the nuts, wind knocked out of you, sometimes a sprained knee looks really bad stubbed toe literally like only a few injuries Fixed
  13. He was grimacing in pain immediately and didn't move for awhile. How often do you see an injury that isn't serious resulting in that level of pain?
  14. He went straight to grabbing/holding his side.
  15. I don't mind letting Soler get some big league AB's, but can we do that with him batting 8th?
  16. I don't see how you can look at this Pirates lineup and think the Cardinals are even remotely close. But...you know, the Cards are only bad because they're missing their third base coach (I've heard this numerous times recently from analysts/media).
  17. Soler won't see a fastball for the entire season.
  18. Stone remarked the Cubs are worried about the back of their rotation and depth. I fail to understand this criticism, and have heard these bonehead remarks before. Hendricks and Hamel would rank in the top 5 of 4th/5th starters in MLB. In addition, many teams would love to have the depth we do with Warren, Cahill, Wood, etc.
