Well, they're down Haren and Grienke from a team that missed the playoff last year, so it's quite possible. And the Rangers are still loaded. -
I'm holding off on the outstanding recruiter label until he lands one of the five star Chicago kids. But yeah, I'm thrilled to have him.

Haven't seen him, he's putting up some pretty good numbers against good competition this year though.

I don't know how to feel about this. He still seems incredibly raw, but I don't think the national ratings have caught up with his supposed breakout summer and growth spurt. Is he a good enough player for Illinois to have given him their only '14 scholarship? Hoops report has him as the fourth best kid in Illinois now, ahead of two top 60 kids. I think once the list updates he will be top 100. Telep and ESPN have him as a four star. Rivals has him as a three star and Scout has him as a two star. I'm thinking these two (or at least Scout) have not updated their ratings. I like what I've read about him. It sounds like he has a real good three-point stroke, but he really needs to add some weight. And yeah, from the way the Illinois beat writers are talking, it's a near certainty that at least one more scholarship opens up for 2014. Yeah I think two will.

It's amazing how not having half of your shots being bailouts because your offense sucks helps a guys percentages.

If that's true then GMs are a lot stupider then I'd ever believed. Agreed, on a side note I no longer am convinced Eric Hosmer is gonna be great. On natural talent I'd say yes, but now I'm not sure. -
There aren't any Sam Maniscalcos playing this year. When one guy can't run, it's really hard to use a motion offense.

So gms are all worked up about Wil because he doesn't hang out with his teammates. From what I've heard about several of the young royals, that's probably a good thing. -

I hate Dayton Moore. You trade Wil Myers and Jake Odorizzi and you better come back with David Price. Oh and they threw in a lefty that can touch 97. Unreal.
