Mine's the best bet. :wink: If anyone ever gives you 10,000 to 1 odds on ANYTHING.....you. take. it. If John Mellencamp ever wins a grammy, you're looking at a very wealthy man. I love The Office.     Well, thank god there's going to be a new owner in place after this year, and hopefully they clean house and bring in people who actually know how to run a successful baseball team. I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not, but I really am thrilled that will probably happen. Yeah, but who knows if the owner will be good or bad. Imagine another Wirtz. Yeah but I am an optimist. Or a sucker.

    I'm on leave today, so this is personal time! Yay! And I have no idea how you can even compare what Kerry Wood makes to the average American. And then somehow relate it to the rest of the world?? Because to 90% of the world's population you're just as privileged, lucky and undeserving of your money as Kerry Wood is to you. So I guess you can never complain about your job now. The difference is no one is making posts about me and feeling sorry for me not having anything to do for the next 50 years, like you are for him. I never complained about my job or said that I was lucky to have my job! I'm not feeling sorry for him. Just pointing out that if you think Kerry Wood or Mark Prior are happy that they're careers are over and making "excuses" not to play, then you have to be a complete idiot. No fan is more adversely effected about their situations than they are, by any stretch of the imagination. Gammons on Mike and Mike in the morning said that Prior was basically depressed and just sad to be around this spring. Trust me it is killing these two guys.

    Our organization is a joke. You really think this would have happened if these guys had been Braves? We have to rush and push everything. No one in their right mind would have allowed for the type of abuse Prior received as a 22 year old. Thank Dusty, thanks Jim. It is kind of like the equivalent of getting a brand new Ferrari and driving it as hard as you can while never changing the oil, then acting suprised when it breaks down, followed by getting mad at it for not being the same after it has happened. Oh and the best part we did it(are doing it) all over again with Z.

    It is just as true as the idea some have about Mark not being mean enough. Those two guys have set the franchise back about 10 years. Sad but, true.

    This is just ridiculous at this point. Mark Prior and Kerry Wood had to have been kidnapped with these two "guys" left in their place. They are hanging out right now with the Black Michael Jackson. If only we could find them all.

    Did Andruw Jones die or something? I guess he just slipped my mind. Haven't seen him play in a while. No I just wondered. I don't put a lot of stock into the defensive stats they have out there. I just don't find them to be as accurate at showing a players value as the offensive ones. He is still the best defender, right?

    Prior, Marshall and Mateo need to join the rotation, fast. Not to mention Gallagher & Veal. That could be the best rotation in the system if Mark ever gets well.

    They are letting him throw the slider then? I know in the past they wouldn't to protect his arm, even though it was his best pitch.

    I doubt it - but a lot of us have fond memories of him and probably some follow his career quite closely. Given that he was a "can't miss" prospect for this team just a few years ago, I can't see why someone starting a thread about him every so often is a bad thing. Corey is still my favorite player.

    It kind of scares me that we will be seeing players born in the 90's soon. You mean now? San Fran's # 2 prospect was born in the '90s.
