I really don't think anyone said that, surely. Oh I think you had better re-read some threads then. I believe what they said was in a few years Deron Williams will be carrying Eric Gordon's bags. Lol. Deron Williams is a Steve Nash away from being the best pg in the league. Notice I said pg, not sg playing the position. Gilbert, I am looking at you. No offense to Deron because if I was picking a point guard for the future, he would be the one, but right now I would take Jason Kidd as the #2 behind Nash. I watched that Illinois team a ton during the year they made the run at going undefeated and I always liked the way he ran that team and ran that offense. He was always in control when he had the ball and consistently made good decisions. You really think Kidd is still better than him? Plus Ason Kidd might be the worst shooter in the NBA. Reguardless Dwill is in the conversation and is only going to get better. Kidd brings the rebounding also. But yeah, in another year or two Williams is likely ahead of Kidd. Probably in a couple of years, Williams will be ahead of Nash too (doesn't mean Williams will be the best PG in the league then, though). Who do you see coming that is even close? Mayo?? Maybe, but I think he will end up a 2. Yeah, there's enough talented players in next year's draft class to be able to say that in a 2-3 years, one of them could be the best PG in the league. I don't think they will be better in two years at 20, than Deron Williams will be at that point in his prime.
