  1. I wish when we had to sit TheRiot it was because Epatt needed a start. He has to be close to being ready, doesn't he?
  2. I didn't realize how many Cub fans there are out of Illinois..That really has to suck that you can't watch your favorite team hardly ever.. Yes you can. I move farther away from Illinois it seems every year and I watch every game that Fox doesn't block out. Gotta buy the Extra Innings deal though.
  3. I don't think the Jazz are anywhere as good as the Pistons though.
  4. Baron Davis is really good when he isn't hurt. Although at some point I suspect his threes will quit falling.
  5. Yeah and think if on full counts lee and ramirez would have taken the walks. But, hey that's how you get back into these type games. Lee and Ramirez really worked the counts in those AB's. Not much to complain about. Yeah, but they both could have walked. Both pitches they swung at were balls. Solo homers do no really help much at this point. I feel a sweep coming on here.

  7. He just missed a homer. So, that still registers as an out. A base hit or walk would have been preferable there. What an interesting way to watch baseball... Meaning? That kind of simplification can be had from watching ESPN's Gameday play-by-play. Baseball is a sport, not just of results, but of efforts, degrees, and subjective levels of failure and success. It's the same reason a pitcher's win column fails to tell the whole story - you need to see more than the numbers (or at least the right numbers) to know what happened. I dodn't mean anything personally, just that seeming to only care that Pagan's hit has an out made it sound like that's all that mattered. I'm just a big believer in taking a pitch, especially in situations following a wlak and the pitcher is tiring. See if they can get themselves in more trouble. Baseball is hard enough why not see how much the other guy can help you out? I agree, but it is funny seeing that coming from a guy with that sig.
  8. Theriot has been fantastic tonight as well.
  9. No, lets not forget it. He wasn't pitching fantastic. They had at least one base runner each inning. That isn't fantastic. Take off the Rich Hill blinders. He pitched like poop today. Please tell me you were actually watching the game, and not following on gameday. He has thrown ONE bad pitch. ONE. Yes I am watching. So on the two homers he threw one bad pitch. LMAO. He has had guys on base the whole game. That isn't fantastic. What part of this do you not understand. Burrell hit a PITCHERS PITCH. A low fastball out of the zone. Does this confuse you? 5 ER in 5 innings, fantastic. Your argument keeps changing. Now its earned runs. First of all, I said fantastic when it was 3-2. I still maintain that he threw one bad pitch. But I give up. I guess The results are always a perfect reflection of performance in baseball. If that was fantastic I hope Hamels starts pitching fantastic. He didn't even give us a quality start. But, hey I rescind my comment he was stellar tonight.

And I hat to be the first to point this out to you, but allowing one baserunner per inning is excellent. Right, ok well he fantastically pitched us out of a chance to win this game. Bravo Rich. I bet if you asked him if he was fantastic tonight he would laugh at you.

  14. It is? Hill has been fantastic today, imo. He's also going to lose this game. You aren't fantastic when you walk the leadoff guy, bean the next, then give up a dong. Fantastic is what Marquis did las time. Are you watching the game?? Hill has given up 3 hits, almost got Burrell on a check-swing K, and the HR pitch was low and out of the zone. edit: And oh,yeah, The hit batsman should have been an out as well. So didn't Z give up three runs earned yesterday? I suppose he was fantastic as well. What? Again, are you watching the games? Are you saying Hill's performance today is = Zs performance yesterday? Yep just watched another fantastic pitch.

So didn't Z give up three runs earned yesterday? I suppose he was fantastic as well. Z was fortunate to only give up 3. Also, more slack is cut for a guy who has been largely dominant so far this year. I am not saying he has pitched bad, just not fantastic. Fantastic is when you beat another ace when your offense gets you a 2 run lead.

  18. Hope we can get a few runs more off of Hamels.
  19. fitting? 49 wins and a sweep of Miami was what to you? I expected to at least make the ECF this year. We can't even win a damn game in the 2nd round? Well then we should have taken care of buisness against the Nets. Boils down to us being the second best team in the East, but having to play the best one a round too early.
