  1. It is when your 19 year old PG is extermely more talented then your current PG. you assume. there are zero guarantees that collegiate success translates to the NBA (there are too many examples to list). I'm not sure throwing him into the starting role on a team with playoff expectations is wise. Early failure could screw him up for good. LMAO, are you seriously suggesting that there is a remote possiblty that Hinrich could be better than Rose? Last I checked Rose doesn't like motorcylces, so I have no idea how this could be even humanly possible. Hinrich isn't even a true modern PG. Not only that, the fact is you picked Rose over a great prospect. You committed to him, there is no reason to defer from that now by stunting his development by having him not play. not starting =/= not playing. After the way they gave minutes to the young guys last year, especially after we fell out of it, I am not confident enough they will get him the right amount of minutes if he isn't starting.
  2. That and name me a jump shooter on that team. They didn't have a pure shooter on the team, but they had a few guys who could hit an outside shot. (Kemp, CDR, Mack, and occasionally Taggert.) CDR actually shot over 40% from three. But yeah, they were much more dangerous driving and slashing. Hey snood, why the hell did a team draft Sasha last night? I mean there is no way he can give up the big money he was offered over seas to play here.

I'm just saying that starting him Game 1 may be unwise. Interesting stat: Hinrich (Sr. Yr.) - 14.8 ppg, 5.0 apg Rose (Fr. Yr.) - 14.9 ppg, 4.5 apg Personally, I hope Hinrich isn't even on the roster by Opening Night Trade him to Utah for Milsap and Harpring. Helps both teams. Hinrich could be their Hornacek and Milsap could give the Bulls another post guy, making Gooden expendable.

  6. Yeah it destroyed the Hornets and Jazz franchises.
  7. What a great big pr mess that would be. I wonder how the fans would take that? I'm sure we would take action by non stop ranting on various message boards. I am thinking that the fans at the game will boo Vinny Del Negro and Hinrich.

  9. Foster has pretty decent size for a guard, and he can fill it up. He's a strong pick for where the Mavs were at. He seems really long to me from the few times I've seen him play. And, yeah, he can be as good a shooter as there is out there. Reminds me a little of Reggie Miller with the way he plays. Probably a little more athletic but not as much basketball skill. I beleive that there are some questioning if Foster will be able to shoot the NBA three. He is a specialist, so he had better be able to.
  10. Really, his scouting report says he can't shoot or guard.
  11. Jesus, nice pick. If you are going to pick a guard, pick CDR.
  12. Marc Derrick already has that person in his life, his name is Reggie.
  13. I don't think the Columbia YMCA has a draft. They do. He wasn't picked. Forget Horton, Kalen Grimes' draft night party has been ruined. At least they got a discount on their blizzards. Some guys get good advice.
  14. Good call going pro DeAndre.
  15. Can they really take CDR with all the guards we have? I think so. Hinrich will likely be gone. CDR probably makes Thabo and/or Gordon expendable too. CDR is so hard to peg. His game is so odd. He could do well like Prince did, or he could flop out. But I like him in the second round.

  17. His game has changed substantially. He drives to the rack and rebounds like a madman. It was good to see him tap into that potential. Yeah, he looks like a man now. That might have a lot to do with it.
  18. Man I forgot J.R. Giddens was even alive. That's awesome he went in the first round.
  19. god they sound [expletive].
  20. thats cause jackosn and van gundy don't want to blow any job shots.
