I actually said no one said he was a bust, but hey good rant. "If only we had drafted a good player at the number 3 spot last year." Yeah that kind of tells a different story, no? Ok, If only we had drafted Wieters. Trust me, Vitters isn't going to land us Sabathia. Wieters probably would have. Catchers who OPS over .950 at AA while only 22 are pretty good. -

Valid point Cubs have gotta land CC though, that's the key move, IMO. If only we had drafted a good player at the number 3 spot last year. Then maybe we could try and get C.C. As it stands right now. The Brewers have much more to offer. It sucks that Josh Vitters has already proven to be a huge bust and will never amount to anything. No he isn't a bust, but as of now he has no trade value. We won't be able to trade for Sabathia for this year anytime when Vitters will have good trade value. He has good trade value now. As good as Gamel and Escobar?

The Brewers have much more to offer. You've got to be kidding me. Kind of. You don't think Weiters would help land Sabathia? I don't think we have what it takes to get it done. Vitters doesn't? 18-year olds who are OPSing over .900 at short season are good trading chips. To say that Vitters isn't a "good player" just shows your bias in favor of Wieters doesn't allow you to judge Vitters properly. Actually I haven't been following as closely since my daughter was born. Didn't know that Vitters was doing that well, but still I don't think he is the trade chip that most Cubs fans thinkn he is.

If were willing to deplete our farm system, we can get him. The Brewers know CC will just be a rental so they'll be careful with what they give up. Maybe the same with us, but we have more at stake, with a better chance of being able to keep him around. Even if that is true, which I doubt it is. We don't have anyone as good as Gamel to offer.

Since when does Ned Yost manage the Giants? Seriously, its probably a smart move, the Cubs are gonna look silly chasing his breaking stuff with those shadows now in effect. Yes it is a great move if you have to win this game. They have the next ten years or so for Tim to worry about. This is odd.

Yeah, cause that is what I was saying. All I said was Gallagher in the rotation is hurting our chances to make the playoffs. He just isn't very good yet.

Hell no he isn't. I was at a game this year when the ROyals got 5 runs off of him in 5 innings. The Kansas City Royals.

We need to get two pitchers. Gallagher is in no way ready to help get us to the playoffs. How many teams in the NL have good #5's? Well then our 4 sucks ass too. Adding one starter would make Lilly or Dempster our number 4. Right pushing Sean out. Like I said we need to add 2 to get Marquis out as well. braden looper, mitchell boggs, joel pineiro and todd wellemeyer are in the cardinals' rotation. Anthony Reyes, Jeff Weaver, Chris Carpenter won them a World Series. And 83 regular season games. I forget, does it still count the same even though they only had 83 wins?

We don't need both of them out of the rotation, only one. Zambrano Somebody Lilly Dempster Marquis/Gallagher Is perfectly fine I guess, I just don't trust Gallagher at all yet. Plus you know Marquis will do his annual go in the tank mode in the 2nd half.
