  1. the 3-0 had to be called. It was right down the middle, and they always call the 3-0 if it is in the ballpark. It wasn't even close to being right down the middle, but I agree that it should've been called a gift strike. It was just called strike one on Koskue.
  2. Nope, that is just how good the Cardinals are.

  4. Kerry will always be a cub, cause sara says so.
  5. No Jim, Rich Harden has never been hurt at all. He did say that the Cubs doctors had access to the A's doctors and all of Harden's records. I don't know if that should inspire confidence or not. We all remember our doctors not finding anything wrong with Prior.

  7. Joel Piniero is working on a shut out. Gotta tip your cap dude.
  8. Will that be part pf the Big XII/Pac-10 Throwdown or whatever the hell it's called, or is this separate? Regardless, that's good news. I'd love to get UK, Duke, or UNC regularly on the schedule, too. Duke will gladly play a home-and-Greensboro series. Maybe a 2 for 1 Home-UC-Home don't be silly we won't even play a 2-for-1 maybe a game in New York or something Can't keep craping out early in the tourny if you actually play some hostile road games to toughen your team up. what we need is a longer bench escpically the big guys You don't need more back-up bigs; you need some quality starters down low. Agreed. I thought Lance Thomas was a top 20 talent coming out of high school. He was either massively overrated or got a lot worse right before he went to college.
  9. Sig. i'll play your game, you rogue! somebody got pwned. HARD

  11. I'm a little disappointed Brandon Paul hasn't made the big leap that many were expecting from him. I'm getting really excited about Tyler Griffey though I still think he will. He was the number 15 player in the NBA camp reguardless of class. Griffey is a stud too.
  12. Oh well it is a rental. Hopefully Gamel is in the deal as well.
  13. McGee is out for the year with the dreaded Tommy John. Looks like they might make him a reliever after this. Oh and Hellickson is a stud. he would have been a bigger prospect out of high school had he not played in Iowa. Stupid late season.
  14. If you have Towles in this list, may as well put in Felix Pie as well. Unlike Hill, Willis, and Francouer who have had a few years of major league success, a lot of the others are basically prospects who werent ready yet. Butler was as good as Hill for pretty much the same amount of time. um...no. maybe not, but still he was pretty damn good for a 21 year old. damn, you gave up way too easy on that one. i really wanted to argue about this. Well, I know you are probably right. I am just a huge fan of Billy. Have talked to him a ton when graphhing in Wchita and Kansas City. So I know I overvalue him. But still, he had a damn good year for a 21 year old.
  15. Typical Cubs/Cards tilt. Do blowouts ever happen when these two teams play. I think I remeber a game in 98 where the Cards scored a bajillion runs in the first inning but that's about all I can remember. We were blowing them out the one year up 8 I think and proceeded to lose on Pujols' 3rd bomb. Taguchi of all people went deep too, what an awful game that was. Yeah my roomate at the time declared he would someday kill Pujols. I imagine he is still coming up with his plan.
