What I love is that OU has been just as bad the past two years as OSU. They got stomped by WVU and lost to Boise State. Just because the Boise State game was great and it made for a great story, doesn't mean it was any less of a choke job for the BCS team losing to a non BCS school. Yet The Big Ten school is the one that catches all the slack.

After splitting the last 4 games I think that should be pretty obvious to anyone watching. I haven't disputed any of that. I believe you're confusing me with some other Purdue fans here. I could be wrong, but I don't think that's necessarily accurate. Johnson would be deemed in bounds when he threw the ball, since the last spot on the floor he touched prior to throwing the ball at McCamey was in bounds. I would imagine the out-of-bounds rule from the NBA also applies to college ball, and the NBA rule is that: The ball is out-of-bounds when it touches a player who is out-of-bounds or any other person, the floor, or any object on, above or outside of a boundary or the supports or back of the backboard. If Johnson was deemed in-bounds when he threw the ball at McCamey, and the ball hit McCamey while he was standing out-of-bounds, wouldn't it be Purdue ball at the moment it touched McCamey? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm just curious where you heard that you can't throw it off someone when they are standing out-of-bounds. Regardless in either case we still had a horrible view on if it hit Johnson's foot and I'm not gonna lose sleep over it Well, it's obviously not the reason Purdue lost the game, but I would like some clarification on the rule (knowledge is power :wink: ). MIke Davis and McCamey are really good players. I'm talking Deron Williams NBA good type players. If a couple of your recruits in the next 3-4 years live up to the hype, you guys are gonna be scary good. one can only dream. however, deron will probably be the best nba player to ever don the orange and blue. if abrams can live up to the hype, watch out. after watching evan turner (and standing up, shouting "i want that"), i hope that richmond can compare to him as well. Kendall Gill sucka. But, yeah I would love for just one of our current recruits to be Deron Williams good.

Or Blackshear. no way that it's blackshear, he's at least going to give self the chance to drive a dump truck full of money up to his house. i would guess shaw. if shaw commits soon, our chances with blackshear will go up significantly. The most recent update on Blackshear I saw was just a few days ago. Said he'd visited Texas and UI, and he had every intention of taking his time with his recruitment. Yeah but that was before Abrams decided. I imagine this will start the ball rolling for us, that being said Blackshear is good enough that the staff will wait on him. But Randle and Stewart might want to decide soon. stewart's time for committing has passed. he had the chance to commit before abrams, as i think he was the first of the bunch with an offer. but he chose to wait, despite the fact that he's the least talented guard, imo, in that class. Sure seems that way. He and Colvin should talk.

Go for the 2 pg thing again. I know the main priorities are Shaw and Blackshear, but then we still have what 2 more rides. Yep 4 remaining for 2011, 5 total through 2012(assuming Simpson redshirts this year). I'd be pretty surprised if they don't over-recruit by at least one for 2012 with Richmond or Head possibly being 2 and done, or one of the trio for next year being gone for one reason or another. And how giddy is Stan Simpson that he's gonna get to be on that team(and probably play a pretty important role) in '11-'12 I was talking with my buddy about this. He gave me the whole Abrams is so far away, what if KU(he's a jayhawk fan) wants him? I told him sure it could happen, but I doubt it with the studs all around him. He then tells me Self had better recruiting success while at UI. I think he might want to check his history books. Sine we got Howard we have easily had the best run of recruiting I can remember. Also am I the only one who thinks this is more than just pot? I doubt very much that Eric would have thought pot was such a big deal. Something tells me we're not talking about the same Kelvin Sampson that kicked off Jabahri Brown for getting arrested for weed possession during his OU days... Once at IU he had to win at all costs, hence the problems seeping out.

But I've known more than a few young athletes who were completely overwhelmed when they realized some teammates smoked pot. Come on Gordon played with the highest level talent every off season in high school. One of those guys he was always playing with was Michael Beasley. There is no way that he didn't know Beasley was a pothead. This is something bigger than just pot.
