  1. Vitters inline to promote at All Star Break?
  2. Yea because we have soooooooo many other options. True.
  3. What the hell? Can we find anyone who can throw strikes for the bullpen. If only Michael Wuertz was available.
  4. Awesome inning guys. Way to make him work.
  5. The roid boys having a big day for the Stros.
  6. Bradley has no chance on anything borderline.
  7. I think he hit that better than the canera angle made it look. :clapping:
  8. Yep, I fully expect them to sweep us.
  9. I really have to give it to the Astros. They have put together a team full of guys I hate and Kaz Matsui.
  10. Good lord don't bring a camera to your party. Unless your not having a good one, or unless you have the coolest fiancee ever.
  11. Yeah reading it again I see he was peeved at the network.
  12. Agreed, and I've felt this way for a while now. I mean in a way its good in that it should keep his numbers down which will help us in arbitration, but at the same time we could just use him as a starter and reap the rewards of some of our best player development.
  13. I really think that Marshall could win 15 games a year with our team while putting up very good numbers in the important catergories. We are being foolish with him.
  14. I don't think you want Pujols take make any more throws than he has to with the shape his elbow is in. I thought he had that fixed this offseason? But, yeah I know it would never happen, just a creative thought. I would be trying to get Brett's bat in their somehow.
  15. The Cards are a mess right now. Yep. Sucks that Ludwick had to go and get hurt when Pujols was slumping. And don't get me started with the roster. It's just constructed piss poor right now. 6 middle infielders. SIX! And TLR is still playing the worst defensive 2b in baseball at 2nd instead of the outfield where he is a plus defensively. And that outfield spot is being taken by a guy that has a minor league OPS below .750. Oh yeah, our starting pitcher filling in for Carpenter had the lowest starter ERA on the team and was yet to lose was sent down to make room for Brendan Ryan. Why didn't you move Skip back to the outfield and call up Wallace to play third, sliding Thurston to 2B? I know there are concerns about Wallace's glove. His bat is obviously going to translate. He was just called up to AAA today. I really have no idea why Skip isn't in the OF right now. Moving him to the OF, having Thurston and T. Greene or Ryan platoon at 2nd and playing Barden at 3rd makes too much sense I guess. Barden may only be a .750-.775 hitter, but he is gold glove caliber at 3rd. Super frustrating watching Tony trot out a [expletive] lineup everyday and what might be the worst infield defense in the league as well. K. Greene and Schumaker are the worst in the majors according to UZR/150, and it's not even close. They're like -60-70 put together. Ok, this is probably foolish but, Pujols still has amazing range. Is it completely crazy to think he could play third and Wallace could just stand at 1B until Ludwick gets back?
  16. Fox? What did Jake or Chad do to you?

  18. Caught a break too I thought that Montanez took him deep, but the humidity helped knock it down.
  19. My buddy's there. Says it doesn't look or sound good for tonight's game being played.
  20. The NBA doesn't have its own Hall of Fame there is only the Basketball Hall Of Fame that takes all levels of basketball into account (as well as off the field stuff). It is also much easier to get in than baseball's and football's. Deke is definitely in. He was the only 4 time defensive player of the year winner before Ben Wallace won four, he is second all-time in blocks and in the top 20 for rebounds and he has done perhaps more good off the field work than anyone else. Yao will probably be in when it is all said and done because he will be one of the best centers of his era, made the NBA huge in Asia and does a lot of charity off the field. T-Mac is really the only questionable one. A recent example that is comparable however is Adrian Dantley. They both led the league in scoring twice. However, T-Mac already has more all-star games (7-6), more All-NBA first team selections (2-0), many more All-NBA second/third team selections (5-2), more rebounds and assists per game and like coaches and GM's have pointed out before he is one of the few stars to have higher career averages in the playoffs than the regular season. The one thing Dantley had that T-Mac doesn't have and could make a big difference is that Dantley was a 2-time first-team All-American in college. Yao and TMac are going to be hurt though because they have no careers to speak of before the NBA.
  21. TMac might be a hall of famer. Mutumbo maybe. Yao isn't even close at this point.
