  1. We are lucky dogs playing awful teams. One of the things a good team does is beat up on the awful teams. I wish the Cubs would have done more of that in past years, like not getting pounded by teams like the Expos down the stretch in 2004. I know. I was poking fun at GRB

  3. I imagine they are bitching about Cecil Cooper.
  4. Yeah Mike Fontenot. You're so very good.
  5. Kevin Hart is awful, just awful. How does a team with our payroll not have better than this?
  6. Of course that can't be three feet to the left.
  7. Hahaha, do they think they are still in it? Why would you trade Alonso for Scott Rolen? They do know it isn't 2000 right?
  8. I'm sure it was. Their grandkids will live well and its a game they cheated.
  9. They can't. Baseball agreed that these names would never come out. That's the only reason the players agreed to the testing. This is crap.
  10. The players union is going to have a field day with this once their current situation is up.
  11. Man, wish we could have sent them somebody for Alderson.
  12. It has to be a pretty awesome thing for a guy like Randy Wells, Lou kinda dropped the ball on that one.
  13. This is like Dusty leaving Prior in with a 10 run lead in game 2 of the NLCS, except a lot less interesting. Imagine that Mark Prior with this team. :banghead: ](*,) :banghead: ](*,) :banghead: ](*,)
  14. He hasn't struck out anybody yet today. As an unheralded midseason callup, he needs win totals and/or fantastic ERA/K totals. Yea he has no K's today, but with a 9-0 lead, Id expect him to mainly pitch to contact. You are right he needs the win totals or ERA/K totals, but his ERA is under 3.00 thats pretty impressive for a Rook I was just pointing out the lack of K's today to emphasize that he pitches to a lot of contact. ROY starting pitchers generally rack of huge K totals, not to mention wins or at least very impressive records. If he maintains his pace through August and September though, he will have a lot more wins and definitely be in the discussion. He could easily throw 8 innings today, and with the bullpen in the condition it's in, that would be huge. Agreed, I knew what you were saying. Happ and Wells have to be the 2 leading starting pitchers for ROY, with Sandoval and Rasmus the top 2 position players off the top of my head. Randy Wells has really been a God send. Its hard telling where we would be without him, or what Hendry may have given up in a trade, had he not pitched like this. At the end it will come down to Hanson and Rasmus I think.
  15. Hah. That was a fun read. Anyway, it's a Cards board, what do you expect... Oh I know, and it was fun. I live around Stl fans here in Central IL and I hear the same [expletive] all the time My wife and brother are huge cards fans. I really want a playoff series against them. Would add so much to the rivalry. Yea if that happened, I may go to prison It would crush a lot of us if we lost that series, but imagine winning that to get to the World Series.
