  1. and 500 outs. Wait, are outs still a bad thing?
  2. Gotta get Kevin back in the rolaids relief race I guess.
  3. Easily could have hit three homers with no wind today.
  4. Thats funny since the ump blew a call at 2nd base on Lugos 1st inning double leading to a run today, and the ridiculous umpire interference call which took away a stolen base from Victorino. When Joel Piniero is having an ace type year, you can't cry about anyone esle having good luck or catching a break.
  5. Between that and the Bradley at bat, he has changed this game.
  6. We split with LA. We could have easily won the Philly series. We are competing.
  7. Little early for that, since it would only be .5/gm up if it works out. I still can't get too excited about the standing yet. Long way to go, lots of injuries need to heal, and the Cubs need to put together an extended streak of good baseball to have any hopes of accomplishing anything. We are starting to do that. Nice play.
  8. Or just play Sori there and let Fox play left. Dear Lord, people...THE #8 HITTER CAN BE BAD. Soto will hit 7th when he comes back. A Fontenot/Baker platoon at #8 is fine. The Cubs don't need to be creating serious defensive liabilities in two positions to replace the #8 hitters. GOOD LORD it won't kill us to try that for a couple of games until Geo gets back.
  9. What is Dusty doing? He had given up two runs.
  10. Or just play Sori there and let Fox play left.
  11. The Cards got the wrong Holliday/Halladay.
  12. I really wish Meph could do an article aboiut how wrong he was about Fontenot.
  13. It's almost like if he's healthy and right it doesn't matter where he pitches at.
