  1. Brandon Paul may not be able to guard anyone yet, but he has to play a ton of minutes. He's going to be our best player next year. At least he needs to be if we want to do anything. He also needs to play under control, you can't have him up there jacking up terrible shots as he has at times this year. And there's no way Paul is the best player on the team next year. I agree, but he can't just sit him for as much as he has been lately. Also you don't think it's possible? The only guys who I could see challenging him are DMac and Jereme. I agree that there's been a few too many lesson teaching moments with Paul, but I'd rather be more cautious in the preconference season rather than giving him a longer leash. With regards to next year, I think Tisdale, Davis, DMac, DJ, and Jereme are all in the conversation. Paul will be better than some of them, but I think he's got too much ground to make up on the juniors to expect him to be our best player. If he is our best player, we're in for a special season. I think Mike Davis has regressed. Tisdale is pretty much maxed out. I really think it's either Paul, Jereme, or DMac.

  4. I'm so tired of Bruce Weber basketball.
  5. If I was a fan of any other team maybe. I feel for you for Yao Ming, but the McGrady injury was probably the best thing that could happen to you guys. Perhaps but you can't convince me otherwise that a fully healthy T-Mac and Yao wouldn't have made at least one long run in the playoffs. T-Mac got hurt right when Yao was figuring it out and becoming dominant. BTW I say perhaps because if T-Mac didn't get hurt all the time Morey may never have been allowed to do what he has done. You would have still probably topped out at the conference finals, and even then it would have been at the expense of the development of Aaron Brooks. You know TMac wasn't gonna let him handle the ball and shoot as much as he has.

  7. Sure makes your schedule a lot worse. Nice work Bruce.
  8. He will play some form of pro ball. Probably lower level overseas. i dont know how a league that would pay him to play could exist. is he in the top 300 of all college players? 500? he's not even a good wide open shooter. During the summer he played overseas and did very well with one of the traveling teams. A couple of teams allegedly offered him deals then. I think there is a mental block there somewhere.

  10. If he sits for just a year, then yeah, he gets one semester. If he sits for 3 semesters, he'll get a full year. Yeah but I see no way he sits for 3 semesters. His famiy has stated time and again the goal is for him to play pro ball. That's pretty much what 5 years and about 31 games for him since high school?
  11. :-)) yeah isiah thomas, the guy who ran a basketball league that had existed for over 50 years and ran it into the ground within a year or two, turned a very good pacers team into a squad that got eliminated from the playoffs in the first round every year, then went to coach the knicks through some of the worst years in franchise history while dealing away all their draft picks and causing his employers to pay out one of the largest sexual harassment penalties in history. sounds like a guy i'd want to be around. That kid needs better people around him. The choice here was to go to a NCAA D2 school and play right away. He's only gonna have what, one semester left to play now?
  12. It's Bruce Weber's MO to lose to crappy teams on our home court. I am growing tired of this [expletive] even with the upturn in recruiting Me too. Me too. Our defense is so bad. Davis is awful at defense. Every team runs the pick off of his guy. His man picks and he doesn't hedge the screen or stay with his man. He creates the majority of the open looks the other team gets. Yet Weber usually pulls the guard to yell at them.
  13. How many minutes would a young Bobby Knight last these days? 5...10?
  14. Out for the season and has played too many games to qualify for a medical redshirt. That blows. He was having a very good year.
  15. Wayne Blackshear to Louisville. Hopefully this means the package deal with Shaw is off.
  16. I doubt we ever see a pic like that again. The Bruce Weber era, the gift that keeps on giving. To the rest of the Big Ten.
  17. You could have probably switched out a decent college team for the Bulls and not blown that lead. Amazing. I am starting to question the star power of DRose as well. At dome point a franchise point guard has to take control of a team.
  18. You should be excited, but you should be realistic. I'll bet you a 5 spot that you finish 3 games back of KU/Texas.
  19. You have a strange interpretation of great. At Bama is a tough place to win, especially the way they did. I know RPI means nothing right now, but #1 RPI and #3 SOS is pretty dang significant. Anyone who doesn't think they'll contend for the Big 12 is dilusional. Kansas and Texas are the #1 and 2 teams in the country. Expecting to contend with them unless you're a top 10 team is foolish. When you're not Kansas or Texas, and don't have the "hype" of a Texas or a Kansas, you don't start the year #1 and #2 in the country. You start the year just outside the top 25-30 and have to work your way in. Just wait and see. It's December for christ's sake. Where you are ranked right now holds no weight on what you're going to be doing come conference time. This KSU team has yet to even come close to peaking yet. On top of the guards, Kelly and Judge will be a presence to deal with come conference time. Add in Sutton and Samuels, and this team has a LOT of weapons. You'll see. I would bet any amount of money that you don't end up challenging for the Big 12 title. Unless your definition of challenging for the title is being within 4 games. KU and Texas are ranked that high because they are really flipping good.
  20. LOL yes, just before back-to-back division winning seasons. He has built teams that can win 83-85 games for most of his tenure on the plus side. i guess we should just hope the rest of the division sucks forever instead of getting rid of a moron who's running this team into the ground at a quick pace. This offseason has been horrible thus far.
  21. You have a strange interpretation of great. Sadly Texas beat a cupcake yesterday. If only they would have played some good teams to get ready for Kstate.
  22. You'll get your chance to remedy that shortly though.
  23. When the freshman don't play well we suck. I don't think we are gonna make the tournament this year.
  24. 2.5 was there a different skinny, white goon on the Finals team? Nick Smith
  25. Bradley's gotta be the worst.
