    Seriously, I wake up most days and think maybe this has all been a dream and the 2008 playoffs are about to start. Has anything went right for this franchise since then?

    No the issue is Jim Hendry. It has been for some time now. 18M for a reliever would mean he needs to be worth 4 wins a year. For his career Mariano Rivera is worth 3.2 wins a year. Got that from Gateway Redbirds.

    I think they at least make the finals. The Magis were a problem for them when they had Hedo. Now that they don't have that mismatch in their advantage I think Cleveland beats them. Ah yes, Hedo who has torn it up with the Raptors this year. And Vince Carter who's done nothing at all for the Magic. They are even better than they were last year, fear the Magic. They also have a healthy and effective Jameer Nelson who wasn't at their disposal last ECF I know Hedo has sucked this year, I thought he would. He can't be a team's first or second best player. That's why he worked so well for Orlando. All he had to do was wait around all year and then be a huge matchup problem for Cleveland. Please tell me you haven't forgot how the Magic cleared out and let him go one on one against Cleveland everytime they needed a big bucket last year?

    I could never feel sorry for Red Sox fans I know. The Red Sox hate on this board is pretty amusing. As every year goes by, I begin to hate all the teams even more. DBacks, Dodgers, Marlins, Braves, Giants, Cardinals......... We need to win it once so I can stop caring.

    I realize that Fontenot was the gold that Hendry got for Sammy Sosa, and that Ryan Theriot is a jewel from his minor league system. But, I am ready to be done with the both of them.

    They have no trade clauses. Let's have a bake sale to raise enough money to bribe them to allow the trade. Let's just really try to fix the problem. Let's get rid of Hendry and actually make a good hire.

    Yeah, kind of shows how silly it would be to allow injured players to serve their suspensions while they are hurt. Honest queston here, where does Mark Prior fall in this. Can he juice now to get healthy and get a new contract? If so, what the hell is he waiting for?

    Ryan Theriot should in no way block Starlin getting here if Starlin's ready. Either trade him or sit his butt on the bench. That said I don't think that replacing Theriot is gonna solve this team's problems.

    And Rondo's defense is really good. I know you guys hate him, but Rondo's better than Rose right now. I'd probably put him 2nd behind DWill I don't hate him. In fact sone Illinois was his number 2 school before he picked Kentucky I have always kinda followed him. I just drop him because he is playing with three hall of famers. Probably not fair on my part.

    Yeah, but without LeBron it's possible Shaq and Jamison aren't even there. Odds are we get to find out how good they will be without LeBron is a couple months. Well if you want to really extend the hypothetical like that then they have the money they were paying LeBron freed up and then the roster can look like pretty much whatever you want. Fair enough.

    Yeah I think that's a problem with it -- just blocks and steals. I figured, I love Steve Nash, but his defense has to drop him a ton when comparing point guards.
